We found this hotel at the last minute, and it was a pleasant surprise. The location is accessible, as it seemed to be in a nice suburban part of San Diego. While there was nothing remarkable about the area, I really liked the layout of the room. There was a separate area with a couch, desk and table, while the bed was in the corner area. We were able to park really close to our room also, which was a bonus, as we had a relatively large share of stuff to transport in and out of the room.
When I stay in a chain hotel, this is what I want and expect. The Radisson was up to my modest standards. « less

We have been staying here a few times a year for about 7 years and its a very nice hotel near the Safari park and we have seen the changes over the years. You can get breakfast there if you add it not included, extra charge now for breakfast and its a buffet style with eggs and toast and oatmeal and lots more as it was before and it can get very crowded it there but there is outside seating also but can be cold out there in winter to eat. Very good self serve buffet. Beds are comfortable and staff is very nice and will help if you have a issue or question and set maintance out. We had a very minor issue with the batterys for the remote were not working the TV and got that taken care of right away. We asked for a certain area of the hotel and had no problem getting it. Its quite and right off the main highway. Its about 30 mintues into SD. Nice pool and spa and there are rooms right by the pool if you want it or around the out side of the hotel. Its a 2 story building. It has a DVD player in the room and a nice big flat screen TV updated from the old kind. They have sleep # beds if you want to try one. Shower water is hot. There is a coffee maker in the room and a small fridge. There are a few restauraunts near the hotel. Lots of parking and it is free. Check in was great and no issues and check out also was fine and easy. The have updated some things there like TV's and a few things. Most furniture is the same where our room was. There is more of a rate difference for a weekend then weekday. There is a pull out sofa I think a full size and a king bed but other rooms have different bed types. « less
