This is absolutely my favorite place to stay in LA. The hotel is nestled in a neighborhood so you have the feel of a boutique property with the character and quality of the W name. Friendly and courteous, the staff ranging from the valet service to the front desk takes care to ensure your stay is first class from start to finish. Upon check in, I was asked for my Starwood member number and was immediately upgraded without having to make the request. Our suite was comfortable, clean and had all the amenities of home. It was so comfortable, we dined in and had a couch picnic while watching a movie. What a great family treat! The beds and pillows were typical W, soft and welcoming. The location is close to shopping and restaurants and had we chosen to do so its a reasonable walk. I would stay here again without a doubt. This is my second visit and I am already looking forward to the next! « less

I am a lifetime platinum Starwood member and want to share my absolute favorite Los Angeles property. The W Westwood is in a beautiful residential neighborhood adjacent to UCLA. I stay at hotels over 120 nights per year and no one treats me better than the W Westwood. They almost always upgrade you, they greet you by name, it's a lovely property with great amenities whether its the 930 restaurant or the Backyard for something more casual. The rooms are huge, the products are from Bliss, there's a bliss spa at the hotel and they make a GREAT cup of coffee - a pet peeve of mine are great hotels with bad coffee. Give it a try - say hello to Shin in Valet, Moses inthe restaurant at breakfast or DJ at the curb. My home away from home- see you there « less

Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening is is displayed on the elevator floor mat when you arrive. This means one of the staff members switches the floor mats out at Noon and Midnight every day. It is a nice touch and example of a customized experience which is what you get at W Los Angeles - Westwood. The valet greeted us right out front. Cost is $35 but it is LA. He actually told us we could go down the street and pay $10 but we wanted our car nearby for trips to In-N-Out Burger :) The first thing we noticed is the stairs to the lobby. It is a waterfall staircase. Really cool especially at night with backlighting. When we first checked in we only had a short wait at the front desk so we helped ourselves to the delicious citrus infused water. I love this stuff! After a few minutes we were greeted with a smile by a friendly young lady who upgrade us to a larger room without us even having to ask. The elevator ride up to the room was cool with ambient music and we immediately noticed the photo continuously capturing our photo and displaying. It made a normally boring elevator ride really fun. More details at http://www.makemeblink.com. The room was amazing with a pillow on the bed that read “Dream.” The room was stocked with a mini bar. No microwave though but it did not matter as there are tons of great restaurants within walking distance. UCLA campus is right there. The pool is kick ax with cabanas and there is a bar. Great place for a dip and/or to just chill. We just stayed for one night and it was wonderful. When we left the valet gave us 2 bottles of water free of charge. Will be back for sure. Great experience and top notch old fashioned customer service. « less

If you have any troubles the ladies at the front desk are very accomodating and can help you with anything you need. The price may be a bit high, but if you care about service it is worth every penny. « less
