My 2 daughters and I went there for my birthday. This is the most amazing hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the people are the friendliest I have ever met. Paul in the garage was so helpful in telling us places to see. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope that I can go back again. If you want a great experience stay at this hotel. « less

Stayed here for seven nights at the end of April this year in room 449, a one bedroom suite on a corner facing the mountains. Overall the hotel was very nice with very large and nicely decorated public areas. Individual excellent service was the highlight. Dachelle Burrows, the concierge, was the best I've ever encountered in my 40 years of traveling. Paymon at the front desk and Kevin Lang in the restaurant were also very helpful and the valet staff were very prompt. The food in the restaurant and lounge was excellent although the breakfast buffet was only available on weekends or when there was a large number of people staying at the hotel. Ian McClendon, the Director of Rooms, made an initial attempt to help with my complaints but fell short. The hotel is very conveniently located to shops and restaurants and if you want an excellent pizza you must go to Rooftop Pizzeria a few blocks a way. The suite had a very large bedroom and living room but the bathroom was a disaster which could have been easily rectified, at least in part, but was not. It was easily the smallest bathroom I have ever encountered in my 40 years of traveling which includes cabins and motels within national parks. What made it particularly difficult was the fact that the door swung inward and completely blocked the toilet behind which were the only towel racks in the bathroom. There was no towel rack next to the sink which made it necessary to swing the door away from the toilet in order to get to the towel racks. I mentioned this to Ian McClendon early on and suggested changing the hinges to let the door swing out as well as simply putting a towel rack by the sink but nothing was done. The lighting in the suite was very dim and the housekeeping staff was completely inept. Except for the last night it was always necessary to call the front desk to report an insufficient number towels being left. The bed was very good as were the bed linens and the towels. The large, private balcony was also very nice. The computers in the business area required a credit card to use them which was the first time I have ever encountered this. I would stay here again but I definitely would check out the bathroom before I accepted a room. « less

Thank you so much for your detailed review of our property. I am blown away by your comments regarding Dachelle and she will be so pleased to hear them. She is an amazing concierge and we are very lucky to have her on staff. I am sorry that we were not able to help you with the door and the towel rack. Engineering is looking at this situation and determining how we can remedy it. I am sorry that we feel short with a couple issues, but I hope you will give the property another chance and come back and visit us here in Santa Fe! Thank you again for your review! ~Ian Robert McClendon Director of Rooms imcclendon@eldoradohotel.com

Management will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. With so many hotels to choose from, this is the type of hotel you'll want to deal with! My only complaint was the service at the Old House, where I ordered breakfast and the waitor asked if I wanted bacon or eggs with my meal. When I got the bill, there was charge for the bacon. Very deceiving the way he presented it at the time of ordering, made it sound like the breakfast came with bacon or eggs. I will never visit the restaurant again. « less

My wife and I have been to many Hotels around the United States and other Countries and the Eldorado Hotel has been the best over all. It has a great location in Santa Fe and we were treated like family. This was a business trip this time around and the entire Eldorado Staff went above and beyond in every department to make sure every need was taken care of for us and our Conference attendees. They were all so polite and helpful we didn't feel bad about asking them for help no matter what time of day or night it was. The food was great and did I mention the Hotel is beautiful!
Mr. Rodriquez, Thank you so much for your kind words regarding our property. Our goal to is treat all of our guests like family and we are glad that you had a great experience with us. Since you are local, please come back and visit us soon! Thank you again for the great review

We really enjoyed the Eldorado. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a king bed with a Kiva fireplace. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect. It was close to shops, restaurants and the Plaza. A very good value. Had drinks and appetizers at the Agave, very good. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and enjoyed the food and the menu selection. Definitely get a room with a Kiva fireplace if you are there during cold weather. « less

We are thrilled that you enjoyed our great Kiva fireplaces! they are definitely our most popular rooms and a favorite of the staff here. The Eldorado prides itself on a wonderful central location between our famous Plaza and the up and coming neighborhood, The Railyard. You have shopping, breweries, fine dining and everything in between just minutes away. We are glad you enjoyed our property and we hope to see you back in Santa Fe very soon!

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"My middle school band and I have been extremely pleased with the service we received from your company. I had many choices for hotels very quickly and the hotels I considered were all excellent. Even after I selected our hotel, your agents stayed in contact with me periodically and even arranged a free upgrade of my room to a suite! What a nice surprise! I plan to book my next trip through them and would highly recommend them to my friends for their group travel plans. Thanks for a great experience." C.C. - Grove Hill, AL
"This website has been an absolute life saver for us! The huge medical convention at McCormick Place had many, many rooms booked or blocked, and my mother and I had called dozens of hotels and been told there was no way we could do wedding blocks!" L.M. - Chicago, IL
