This location was recently purchased by Interstate Hotels & Resorts in February 2008 and just completed a renovations in July 2009. Our guest rooms are clean and comfortable. We are located where there is plenty of shopping as well as restaurants. You would enjoy our neighborhood, we have a great deal of attractions in the area, just ask our Guest Service Agents, they will be happy to direct you to where ever you want to go.

Fan knob was broken off so unable to use air conditioning! Paid $65.00 which was not even worth the monies. Breakfast was the only thing that was decent with waffles, hard boiled eggs, bagels, toast, cereal, apples, muffins, oatmeal, juice and coffee. We asked for a non smoking room and was first provided room 239 - Horrible smoke smell which made our eyes water as soon as we entered the room. So we went back to the front desk and was provided room 129. I would not pay more than $30 for this room it is that cheap looking, outdated and extremely small. Very loud music playing by the maid in the morning and could not sleep!!! « less

One issue is the ceilings were paper thin as I was awaken to a screeming woman above us who was obviously enjoying the "best 5 minutes" of her life...lol
All in all a cheap place to lay your head for the night. « less

This is a very old facility and lacked any covered area in which to disembark and it was raining, so we got wet entering the building. The lobby area is very small and got crowded quite quickly. TV's are really old. No flat screens. However, the interior and the rooms were in remarkably good shape for the age of the building and the rate was terrific. Staff was very friendly and courteous. I would go back for a night or two, but wouldn't stay there for several days. Just don't like old that much. « less

My sister and I stayed at Howard Johnson's in La Crosse, WI for one night sue to our Dad being on the Honor Flight. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and their was an employee picking up garbage in the parking lot who kindly answered questions on the whereabouts of places. during check-in, I asked for a room on the first floor, since my knee was bothering me and my sister walks with a walking stick. We were given the first room inside the back door of the building with parking just outside (very accomodating). The room was clean and standard. The refrigerator was nice and cold, bedding clean,fresh and comforatble. WIFI easily hooked to. No complaints here. I would stay again when in the area. « less
