The wifi is very slow and you don't get much of a connection on the 3rd floor.
The hallways smell like wet carpets, but they are dry. If it was not for the nice friendly desk clerk, I would have fought for my money back and stayed at the super 8 down the hiway. Save your money this is one step away from a Red Roof Inn « less

We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your stay. Please do be aware that from March through October, the entire area has muted or no lighting in order to conform to the regulations allowing turtle nesting on the beach. Regardless, the area is perfectly safe for both pedestrians and drivers. We are located on a busy intersection, but generally only have heavy traffic when the Intracoastal Bridge openings disturb the regular flow of traffic past the hotel. The biggest attraction to the area is the beach and the many local dining options, which do bring many tourists and locals alike, to our "island"

We headed over to Deerfield for a girls weekend surf trip and decided to book a room with this hotel. It was perfect - a block from the beach and the staff was super helpful in accommodating us with some special needs (to do with our gear). It's not the Ritz, but the sheets were clean, the AC worked fine, plenty of hot water (big bonus, esp sharing with 3 girls) and the staff was super helpful - this to me is all you need to have a great stay! Sure it's a little outdated, and may not look the nicest, but we weren't planning on sitting in our rooms all day! If you're looking for a place to lay your head at night on a budget - this is the place! « less

We are so glad you and your friends enjoyed your stay with us, and took the best advantage of all we, and the location, have to offer. Located just a couple of hundred yards from the beach and numerous restaurants and stores, our guests can certainly keep themselves well occupied while visiting Deerfield Beach. Even on rainy days (and there are very few of those), there is enough to keep busy in relatively close proximity!

We checked in late, after driving from Savannah. The hotel looks acceptable from the lobby, but went way down hill from there. The elevator is small, so the friend I was traveling with and I had to ride in seperate trips, because we had so much luggage (birdwatching equipment, beach stuff, etc). When I got in, a very drunk guy from the hotel pool bar got on with me and tried to help me with my cart! As he swayed and stumbled and the elevator shrieked and bumped, I was pretty nervous by the time I got to my room. The room smelled so horrendous of mildew, we emptied a can of Fabreeze, which did no good whatsoever! The blankets are so thin and nasty, I think they're castoffs from a prison someplace, the air conditioner ran and ran and made no difference at all in the temperature or the smell of the room, and the carpet is so filthy, dirty, you can't walk on it barefoot, it felt so NASTY!!! The final straw was that the safety bar on the door to our room had been broken off and was a hunk of broken, twisted metal!!! We saw the maintenance man coming out of some girl's room across the hall so the thought of not being able to secure the door and the smell made us decide to leave immediately - even though we'd been driving all day and were exhausted and were already undressed and in bed. We called a few nearby hotels and found room at the Embassy Suites which was only 1/2 a mile away, so we got dressed, re-packed and beat a hasty retreat. The desk clerk was very nice - it wasn't her fault. She said the owner was renovating and he hadn't gotten to this floor yet - and she could move us to a better room. Why on earth anyone would be given this horrendous room when there was a better one apparently available is beyond me. We said no thank you, got our money back and left (and landed in Paradise at the Embassy Suites, which was only $50 more a night - but that's for another review!!! « less

We had two stays March 2013 - ocean view fourth floor - view of the ocean was on the poor side but it was away from the busy street. Short walk to beach - the area is very nice. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Bath and shower nice. The rooms had the air conditioner in the wall which I found relatively noisy. I made a couple of calls to the desk during our five days - staff very responsive. There was a problem with the tv cables in both rooms (one loose - one disconnected) - both resolved. Nice pool and we really enjoyed the blue waterslide (yellow one closed). They didn't have enough pool towels for everyone by the pool but the desk provided some. There is one elevator so sometimes it was somewhat slow getting up or down. Breakfast included and it was ok. Parking on premises $10/night - no problems. « less

Thank you for your kind review. We also have taken note of your, and the other comments previously, regarding our elevator. It is a heavily used elevator since there was never a service elevator built during the original construction of our building At certain times of the day when our staff or getting to or from the rooms, there is a wait for the elevator. We wish we could change this, but obviously, architecturaly, this would not be possible. We can, however, assure all of our guests that the elevator is maintained under contract with a major elevator company, and that the elevator is absolutely safe in every regard.

Great location, fun pool for kids BUT a dirty hotel. This hotel was old, had ants in room, carpet was filthy, windows were dirty, drapes and decor very outdated, wall paper in hallway was torn and very dark. Changed rooms hoping to get a better room only to have the same issues. The location is great. Close to downtown shops, bars with beach just a block or so away. Staff was extremely friendly but I would not stay again. Shame as this hotel has such potential. « less
