The Steigenberger Hotel Linz is a colourful modern complex located on the banks of the River Danube, one kilometre from historic Linz's old town. This six storey hotel features 164 guestrooms, all of which include a bright American style decor and dark wood rattan furnishings. All rooms have cable television, complimentary newspapers, wireless Internet, and minibars.
The Maxx Restaurant and American Bar offers traditional Austrian specialities and international dishes, with an array of wines and beers, served in a relaxed setting with earthy colours and dark wood furnishings. In summer there are barbecues on a Mediterranean style garden terrace with views of the River Danube. Eleven rooms can be used for conferences of up to 250 people, while banquets and functions can be held in the Winter Pavilion, on the Summer Terrace or in the restaurant. The Old Town, with its café terraces, winding alleys and boutique shops is a kilometre from the hotel, while St. Florian Abbey is 22 kilometres away. Linz Airport (LNZ) is 20 minutes by car, 20 kilometres from the hotel.
