CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE FROM TRIPADVISOR 2012
The Ohio River's winding flow sparked the growth of Cincinnati, making it an important hub city. The river remains the center of town today, physically separating Cincinnati from Covington, yet uniting the two cities in activities, culture and spirit. And our Hampton Inn® hotel in Cincinnati-Riverfront (Downtown Area) is right on that river.
Within just a mile of our beautifully renovated hotel in Covington, you can reach the Bengals's Paul Brown Stadium, Red's Great American Ballpark, Northern Kentucky Convention Center, Duke Energy Center, Horseshoe Casino, Newport on the Levee, the riverboats that ply the Ohio and Cincinnati's art museum. The famed Newport Aquarium sits just two miles away from our hotel. You'll be amazed how easy it is to get around Cincinnati from our hotel in Covington-we're across the river but, right at the action. We offer a complimentary HOT deluxe breakfast, free High-Speed Wireless Internet, a refrigerator and microwave in each room and free parking. We have an indoor heated swimming pool and a fitness center on site. We have one Board room 25ft x 12ft 300sq ft seats up to 12 people and one Conference Room 25ft x 23ft 575sq ft seats up to 40 people theater style, 20 people ushape, and 32 people classroom.

The location of this property does make you question what you are in for. Set right near the interstate and shares the parking lot with a liquor store. Not to worry the property is clean inside and out and my room was quiet. Cincinnati is just a mile away and Covington and Newport only blocks. Dont let the location keep you away this is a good value for a quality stay. « less

Thank you for the very positive feedback from your stay with us. I love our location too, but I agree the liquor doesn't always the best first impression of the hotel. I am so glad you were able to see past that and thank you for the great comments. Hope to see you again in the future!

My wife, son, and I stayed here on May 15th. We woke up on the 16th. I went to turn on the light by the bed, but it wasn't working. I looked at the cord to make sure it was plugged in, and next to the night stand on the floor was a used condom. Talk about disgusting. I called the front desk and asked the manager to come up. She offered to give us our second night free for our inconvenience. I said no, we would be leaving now, and would like a refund for last night's stay instead. She agreed to this, and we left. I feel that if the hotel can't clean the rooms properly (especially something like a used condom left on the floor), they aren't going to be getting my money or continued business. It's a shame too, because we liked the rest of the hotel, but once we saw that, we were done. Never again at that location. « less

I have read your review on Tip Advisor and wanted to apologize again for the experience you and your family had at our hotel. I was actually the manager that came to your room and assisted in finding another location. I wanted to assure you that this is not a normal occurrence at our hotel, but I have taken it very seriously. That same day I pulled all of our housekeeping team and explained what had happened. Previously, they would look behind nightstand and pull out if they saw debris or garbage behind it. I have asked that they start pulling out nightstand a couple of inches from the wall to be sure nothing is missed behind the nightstand.
Again, I am truly sorry this happened and wanted to follow up with you and let you know we have addressed the issue.
Sincerely, Beth Wuestefeld General Manager

I was here on business, and using the nearby convention center. The location is good, located right off I-75, and it was a 5 min drive to downtown Covington. Staff is very friendly, and the rooms were clean. The area appears a little dicey because the numerous liquor stores and tobacco shops that populate the area due to being just across the Ohio border, but I have been to Covington several times and have had no issues. Hotel gym has nice Life Fitness machines that were in good working order. Will definitely stay again, and much preferred location over dealing with the horrendous traffic issues Cincinnati and its roads have just over the other side of the Ohio River. « less
