Located nearby were restaurants, shopping mall and access to highway. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Would recommend to others traveling in the vicinity of Bear Mountain. « less

I stayed with my children at the Microtel Inn while we were attending a baseball tournament in nearby Chester, NY. Since we frequently make these short weekend stays for different sport related events, the kids and I have come to understand the range of what we can expect to encounter. This hotel didn't make it out of mid range for what we have come to expect.
The room was small and relatively clean except for dirty used towel hanging on back of bathroom door and used soap wrapper still in bathtub. The pillows, linens and towels were definitely low end. Common spaces were basically non-existent. Breakfast that was included was far below what is usually offered -- strictly continental with no hot food or variety. « less

I like the consistency of the Microtel chain. They layout and decor is pretty much the same at every property, clean and inviting. Our check in was late but upon arrival everything was ready to go and we didn't have to go thru any lengthy process. The desk agent was friendly which is always important. The rooms aren't the biggest but I appreciate the window sill mattress that microtels always have cuz I travel with a group a frequenty share with two other people. It's nice not to have to get a rollaway cot. Slept well and was on my way. « less
