This property has been completely renovated recently, and is in excellent condition. We were in a 1BR 1 BA suite, and my in-laws were in a 2BR 2BA suite. We were all in town for a wedding, and this is the hotel the Bride and Groom had chosen to secure blocked rates for their guests.
The location of the hotel is a bit odd, there isn't much around in - nothing in walking distance.
The traffic in the area around the hotel can be horrible - so plan accordingly.
Our room was very comfortable, and well appointed. We definitely made use of the blackout drapes as I had a very long drive that night for work, we slept in till around 10:30 with very little light coming in around the drapes, that was fantastic!
The room has a full kitchen, and a great living room area with L shaped sectional sofa and nice ottoman. You could easily have 4-5 people over to watch a game, play video games etc so the rooms are a nice size!
The iron worked very well, and the ironing board was in good shape - unlike most hotels where the cover is usually falling off/apart.
The only problem with our room too a little detective work to figure out...
When my wife and I were walking down the hall, I noticed that there were a few wet spots on her jeans. Didn't think anything of it until later that evening. I was sitting on the couch using my laptop (the wifi worked very well!) and I heard a drip a couple times - 10-15 minutes apart. Finally I saw where the drip landed... on the ottoman..... so the water was coming from the ceiling.... the sprinkler head! It was dripping, only one drop every 10-15 minutes - but it was pooling on the carpet/ottoman none the less. We let the front desk know when we checked out.
I would definitely visit this hotel again, and would definitely suggest the property to others.
I had never visited a Hyatt hotel until the last few years, but each stay makes me more and more loyal to the Hyatt family of hotels. Hyatt knows hospitality - and they how to make guests fell welcome, cared for, and that translates to loyalty. I have stayed at Grand Hyatt hotels, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt House, and Hyatt - excellent properties, top notch staff, and consistent service! Another great one, Hyatt! « less

Stayed here for one week due to being in town for work. I found the hotel to be very clean and welcoming. The woman at the front desk was very nice and answered all my questions patiently. The room I received was clean and large. Two suites and a living room and kitchen. There are TVs in each suite and the living room.
The breakfast buffett was limited but I found it satisfying. At night they have a "social hour" where they provide select foods and you receive one free alcoholic drink. The nacho bar was my favorite. I was not able to use their swimming pool since it was still cold outside.
The Wi-Fi they provide is fine for surfing the internet, but if you are like me and carry a gaming laptop with you to pown noobs, it will barely get you by. Most hotels I stay at have minimal Wi-Fi coverage, but they provide a hardwire connection somewhere in the room. All I could find were multiple phone jacks.
The surrounding area is difficult to get around since there are no left turns allowed in Jersey and traffic lights every 50 feet. So, if you plan on going out, try to make it one trip.
When you use the AC system, the fan is VERY loud and located above the entrance to the room. If you are watching television in the living room it can be a minor annoyance.
You would think that all these problems would come from an average priced hotel, but no, this hotel is rather expensive for this middle-class worker.
So, if you can get a good deal and ignore the price of the room along with the surrounding local area, the noisy fan, and the average Wi-Fi, you will enjoy your stay very much. « less

The comfort of the whole room experience deserves an excellent rating. Both me and my boyfriend were elated by the spaciousness. There is something to be said about a spacious room offering more of a sense of privacy and feeling of being in a home, rather than a hotel room. I felt like I was living in an apartment building.
They were fully booked the time we were there, and that might have been the reason they gave a 2 bedroom suite to just one couple.
Everything was clean and modern. Lots of natural light from the windows. Although we didn't partake in the little extras, such as breakfast, or the evening social with some free food and drink, it was nice to be offered. There's a full kitchen with a full size fridge and stove. Bench seats in the kitchen/eating area. There is a desk, TV, closet and dresser in each bedroom. No luggage rack.
There is a laundry room, free wifi and HBO. DVD player in the living room.
We were on the first floor near the pool. It actually was very convenient since the parking lot was close. I could not hear noise from any other guests, in a fully booked hotel. During the day there was some noise coming from maintenance around the pool, and some hotel staff chatting in the hallway, but it was brief.
One word of advice: when you are leaving the hotel (i.e. driving out onto Ridgedale Ave.) I suggest you do not make a left turn which would take you onto the highway (Route 10/Mt. Pleasant Ave.) UNLESS you need to head in the West/Northwest direction AND you know exactly where you are going. Once you get to the end of Ridgedale Ave. you have no choice but to immediately get on the highway ONLY in that direction, and it happens real quick. It is impossible to cross over to the other side of the highway, on Ridgedale Ave, in this way. Make a right turn when driving out of the hotel, then make your first left onto Sylvan Way, for an easier drive within the city.
The hotel is nestled between two highways, but you can't really tell when you are there. I found it easier to get around by staying on the local streets, and they were quite pleasant to drive on. Hotel is located in a business park area with nice landscaping. « less

An excellent stay. The standard 2 Queen room included a pull-out couch bed in a separate sitting area. Very spacious. Even a door separating the sleeping area from the kitchenette and sitting area. Very clean. Attentive staff. The eating area was well-maintained with above average breakfast options. The early evening complimentary dining is a nice add-on if needed. Didn't use the pool but it, and the hot tub seem to be very nice and well-maintained. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in the Parsippany area. « less

Just visited recently, and it was amazing! Traveled with family and got a two bedroom suite, more then we could've asked for! The kitchenette and living area was bigger then most hotel rooms one would get at an average hotel. The service was very cheerful and willing to help, it was very cleanly. The breakfast at the buffet was nothing to be at awe with, but still had options, and it is tucked in a tiny conor of the town, difficult to find, but once there it is quiet and peaceful. It was lovely and more space then anticipated, it was great! I would defiantly recommending a person to stay there, even though it is tucked away it is a 20 min drive to the short hills mall, the oranges, and Newark. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Thank you for making this process easier. With all the other things needed to be done for our own wedding, it made your service a blessing. " S.P. - Austin, TX
"Everything went excellent. I'm really glad I decided to go with both your company and Sierra Suites for accommodations for my wedding. People are now wishing there were more Sierra Suites around. They were even kind enough to offer the discounted rate to those people that weren't sure they'd make to the wedding until after the cutoff date. I have already referred someone to your service for a wedding she's planning in Michigan." R.S. - Parsippany, NY
