My husband and I checked in to the Westin Tampa Harbour Island and from the moment we arrived it was wonderful. Lauren Maranzau made this hotel stay exceptional. While checking in Lauren asked us if we were celebrating anything special and when we told her it was our 25 wedding anniversary she upgraded our room immediately making us feel very special. We thanked her and asked her questions about the area which of course she was very knowledgeable. We checked into our beautiful room which had a beautiful view of the harbour and all of the amenities we needed. We left to go explore the area and upon arriving back to our room there was champagne and strawberries waiting for us to make the celebration even better. Thank you to Lauren and the staff for making this a memorable visit to Tampa. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Tampa area. « less

I have made several business trips to Tampa recently and stayed at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island. The hotel is nice - they have clearly invested in a facelift for the lobby and bar/restaurant area, rooms are spacious and well furnished. In addition, the front desk staff has been very helpful - proactively asking if I needed help with reservations and being quite responsive to requests I had on two days of heavy work when I had little time to get out of the room.
I am a Starwood Platinum and will note that this is a property that is pretty good about very nice suite upgrades (something that is not always a given).
I would also say that I observed the same high level of service for all guests - I don't think my treatment was due mainly to my status, but rather to the quality of a very solid hotel staff. « less
