Free and quick shuttle, a free hot breakfast and friendly service earns this hotel a perfect score and I hardly ever do that. A couple of restaurant choices within 2 blocks and many more a mile away. « less

My family rented two rooms for four days. My kids came down with strep throat and vomited on blankets repeatedly and I brought soiled blankets to the laundry room. The staff was very helpful until the afternoon we were headed for home. At the manager's direction, the clerk (Tracy Stevens) called my wife's cell repeatedly to accuse her of stealing blankets, threatened to file a police report and then charged us an additional $300 in fees. We tried to politely work it out with the clerk and offered that she could even search my minivan. Her only response was, "If you don't return the items I'll file a police report." The manager was unavailable to speak with us. All this happened on my wife's birthday! « less

I stayed one night for business. The hotel was as expected for a mid-price hotel. The room and bathroom were clean. The equipment in the fitness center was a bit dated but worked fine. Wi-Fi signal in the room was strong and speed reasonable. Breakfast was great and well attended by the staff. My expectations were met for a mid-price hotel. I would stay here again. « less

We have recently started staying with the better rated Choice Hotels group. This property has all of the amenities offered by other brand name, mid range chains, but MORE room. I booked several rooms at the airport location for a family event. Much to my surprise, room 204 has a swag in the floor of several inches. Furniture is blocked up to keep level. It was hard on me as a "one legged" Vietnam Vet. Apparently it was a game with management to see who gets stuck with this room. « less

This hotel was rated fairly high on trip advisor. We chose to stay here b/c our go to hotel was sold out. First we always check in super late so when I arrived I had to be buzzed in by the front desk clerk. I always think this is ghetto but apparently it's common practice in the Elm Hill Pike/Airport area (the Drury Inn does it too). The lobby was clean and modern and the guy checking me in was nice and polite. There is a side door that takes you straight to the elevator which is super convenient if you can park close to that door. Our room was 404 which was at the end of the hallway and we think it might have been a bigger than normal king b/c it was laid out with the office space in the front half the bathroom was in the middle with the toilet/tub in the "bathroom" and the vanity was straight across the way outside of that area and then the bedroom area. The room was HUGE. Very nice point for anyone who is claustrophobic or has anxiety the windows OPEN. That's a super plus in my book. The bed was comfortable. I didn't use the pillows (I brought my own) but Husband said the pillows were not great (small and too soft). The Wifi seemed to work every time I used it. We didn't use the pool or other hotel facilities but we did look in at the pool which is in a green house type set up so you can use it year round. The grounds are pretty and well kept and the inside and out is clean. We paid about 130/night for our room. I think that's high but this time of year and with all the crap that was going on this past weekend that prolly was a normal rate. I do recommend this hotel and Husband gives it two thumbs up for the windows that open :) « less
