The Hotel 340 is a full service extended stay boutique hotel. The hotel's 57 rooms, apartments, and suites are located on the upper three floors (floors 10, 11, & 12) of the former St. Paul Athletic Club (now, The University Club of St. Paul – Downtown Clubhouse).The building that houses the hotel is a magnificent, historic (1917), landmark building with public areas designed in the English renaissance tradition. The hotel is located in the Central Business District near historic Rice Park.The University Club of St. Paul's Downtown Club ballroom, banquet and meeting rooms; The Saint Paul Athletic Club's 80,000 square foot state of the art fitness club – available to guests.

The LOBBYOriginally for the Commodore Hotel residents and guests, the lobby is appointed with traditional furnishings arranged in intimate conversational groups. A concert grand piano has the option of "playing itself" using a computerized tape system that exactly duplicates the recording artist's touch and style. The Mahogany bar can be set for cocktail service or used as a display table. The lobby is a gracious reception area for any occasion. ART DECO BARDesigned to be reminiscent of an ocean liner's cocktail lounge, this Art Deco jewel was spared in the great Commodore Hotel explosion and fire in 1978. All of the original elements are intact, including the two gold leaf ceiling domes, mirrored side walls and louvered glass back wall. Historians tell us that Sinclair Lewis spent a lot of time here. Certainly he would feel right at home here today! The bar is suitable for small dinners and receptions, or used in conjunction with either dining room. DINING ROOMTwo steps down from the Bar and decorated with dramatic carpet, the Dining Room boasts a decorative plaster ceiling as well as an elevated dance floor in traditional black and white tile. UPPER LOUNGEElevated several steps and decorated in similar style as to complement the Lobby (which is visible through a large window-wall), the Lounge can be divided into 2 small private meeting rooms or used as a dining room for up to 80 people
