We just returned from our weekend trip to NYC. We had a great time, and would highly recommend Distrikt Hotel (and we are pretty picky)! Decent price compared to equivalent in NYC, we actually liked the location (not super crazy crowded but close to everything), the staff were great, we got a free upgrade, and the room was excellent. Nothing negative to say- thank you for an amazing stay! « less

The room was huge, with a lot of space for my wife and me. The bath was nice, but a exhaust fan was missed. Other thing they can improve too is a better mattress. A lot of people have sayed the location isn't good, but that's only because is not a "fancy" neighborhood, Metro station is one block away (blue line; red, yellow and orange are two blocks away) and i think that's the only thing you need to visit NY. But that's a personal opinion.
Summary pros: nice room, great staff, well located, good quality/price ratio cons: fan needed in bath, they can improve mattress « less

We booked this hotel for the last leg of our honeymoon trip well in advance, looked to change it several times but couldn't bring myself to because of its high TA ranking, and I'm glad I didn't.
It's a treat to get a King Size bed in NYC and still have some room to breathe! The room felt very modern and fresh. Our 30th floor room took in the river and you could see the Empire States building if you pressed up on the glass.
The wifi is free but fairly low bandwidth. Getting emails and checking Facebook was ok. Location on 40th St, 8th Ave is pretty good though you do walk past some interesting types at the nearby parole office on the short walk to 7th where the action is.
The staff really make the hotel though, with a fuss-free check-in and enthusiastic bellboy services team. They left us cake to celebrate our honeymoon too which was a really nice touch. « less

The room we had (5th floor) was definitely large enough, although some more cloth hangers would be handy. It was the second time in New York for us, and compared to the hotel from last time (same price range), this hotel was fantastic. If we return to New York, we will choose this hotel again for sure!!! « less

People make the stay, and everyone I met, especially the restaurant staff, were the best, and I should know. The room was well appointed, all new fixtures, a quality brand LED TV on the wall, and my own Keurig coffee/tea machine. Just what I like. Thank you for a great job. « less
