We stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting our daughter in Portland. We were on a road trip but wanted an economical and convenient location. This hotel fit the bill! We loved the modern and fun environment that is created from the time you walk into the lobby. There are several cozy sitting areas, a bar, and a pool table all in the main lobby area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our room had a nice modern feel to it that you don't normally get in an affordable hotel. It was laid out beautifully for its size and had two good sized windows that overlooked the parking lot and some lush green fields. We enjoyed using the pool and also borrowed some bicycles and went for a ride. Definitely a plus for our family!
The reason I didn't give this hotel a perfect score is because of a couple of things. First they don't offer a complimentary breakfast and instead have a selection of foods you can purchase at a pretty steep price. Even though there are eating places close by, including a Starbucks, we didn't enjoy having to leave the hotel and find something to eat in the morning. Another thing we didn't like was the fact there wasn't a spa to relax in. These are both minor things, but they are things that make our stay more enjoyable.

I stayed here for a few days when I first moved to Portland, and loved it! The hotel is super stylish with nice lighting and atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, have all the amenities that you would need, and the bed is very comfortable. If you are needing to say near the airport, this hotel is perfect for you. « less

You can fly into PDX, take their shuttle to the hotel or use the red line (get the 7 day pass if you're staying that long--I got it but I was only staying 5 days so I ended up giving it to one of the desk team members to use the rest of the days).
Nice pool house. Cool architectural style. Not an enormous pool, but it's big enough and indoor. Right across the street is a BBQ place and down the street a Jersey Mike's sandwich shop and a build your own burger place. Then just hop on the red line and in 40 minutes you're in the city. You don't have to transfer and the ride is pretty scenic. Portland public transportation is amazing and starting around 4pm everywhere you go there's a happy hour!
The entire desk team was great including Kayla and Gerard. They'll give you a lot of great tips on things to do. I do wish the website explained the public transportation situation a little better since it is so easy to grab the train or the hotel's shuttle.
Work out room was great (and was empty the two days I went!). No free breakfast but free coffee downstairs till 10am and of course coffee and tea in your room. I did hear the planes but with the way the hotel is built the planes sound far away (except for some of the military jets that fly in, but that's seldom).
There are nods to Portlandia in the lobby and the adjacent bar has a little indoor/outdoor fireplace. It definitely has a W feel on a smaller scale. They have a pool table and a computer station that's always open for use for free.
The views from the hotel are nice. There's an open green field on one side, a building with an IHOP on the bottom floor on another, the outlet mall on the other, and the little red line train station on the other. All sides show the beautiful Portland hills that surround the area.
I am definitely staying here again and am looking forward to it! I seldom say that about hotels I've stayed at, so that's really saying something! « less

Spacious rooms that are kept up well and clean. Not a big fan of the shower. It's a great shower only inconvenient for shaving legs (need a shelf for the ladies) I'm not a gymnast anymore. The front desk staff are very helpful and patient. They usually have live music in the evenings which is nice. Pool always looks great, just haven't tried it yet. The location is great. You are right across the street from many stores and places to eat, the rail is just behind the hotel for easy transportation (teenage son used this quite a bit to visit friends in Portland). Airport shuttle has always been on schedule and the drivers friendly as ever. It's obviously a pet friendly hotel, only noticed this because as soon as the first set of doors open there are water bowls lined up on the left. This hotel is pretty much at the airport (seemingly on the landing pattern for Alaska Air). Not a big deal. Have never heard a plane once inside the hotel. We prefer this hotel when at PDX. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Thank you so much for offering this service. You're service was prompt and reliable, and there were many bids from which to choose." D.P. - Greenville, SC
"By the way, I was very pleased with your site's service! It turned out that our group got a better room price reservation at a comparable hotel to the one we were considering. Since our small jazz band doesn't really have any budget to speak of, price was an important consideration and thanks to your service we were able to save money without sacrificing on the quality and amenities of the hotel. Thanks again! We'll be using you again, I'm sure, for future trips." D.R. - Auburn, WA
