The Cranley is situated in a quiet street in the heart of London of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The hotel is one of London's most charming Town House Hotels with 38 bedrooms and one meeting room for up to 12 delegates.

The rooms are furnished with wonderful antiques and have an understated elegance and air of sophistication. All bedrooms have beautiful limestone bathrooms with either queen or king size beds. High speed internet access, air-conditioning, LCD TV screens, mini bar, safe, bathrobe and slippers are available in all rooms. The colours used throughout the bedrooms and reception areas. Striking combinations of Chinese blue, mustard, plum and stone-are derived from the original 19th century floor tiles which can be found in the entrance hall.
All guests receive a Welcome Drink upon arrival and have the choice of Afternoon Tea with warm scones and clotted cream in the afternoon from 4pm-5pm or indulge in canapés with a glass of champagne in the evening from 7pm-8pm. All of this is served complimentary.
The Cranley is ideally located to enjoy London's great attractions, many of which are within easy walking distance including the museums of Exhibition Road and the immense variety of shops and restaurants in Knightsbridge and the Kings Road- from the most exclusive to the trendy and avant-garde.
Earl's Court and Olympia Exhibition Centres are very close to the hotel with Earl's Court being only a 8 minutes walk or a 2 minute taxi ride from the hotel and Olympia being 1,5 miles or a 5 minute taxi ride away.
London‘s Gloucester Road and South Kensington underground stations are also just a few minutes walk away from the hotel, linking the West End with all its theatres and the City, London‘s financial centre.
Gloucester Road underground station provides direct access to London‘s Heathrow Airport via a 30 minute tube journey. The Cranley is also just two miles from Victoria and Paddington stations, with Paddington’s Heathrow Express a fast link to Heathrow Airport, and Victoria station’s Gatwick Express connecting Gatwick Airport.

I have just spent a week at The Cranley and what a pleasurable experience. Because of the long stay I booked the Junior Suite so as to give us more space and it was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately we couldn't make use of the lovely little courtyard as it rained most days and was cold. The staff at reception were always extremely helpful and courteous and nothing seemed too much trouble. The location is good and it's in a quiet street. The only disappointment was that there were no tea-making facilities in the room. Would definitely go back. « less

Cranley apartment is like home to me whenever I need to be in London. It has the amenities of a hotel and yet it is furnished like a cosy apartment, but complete with full kitchen facilities, a very modern bathroom and a very contemporary looking living room. The neighborhood is great too, close to Gloucester station with some really great restaurants a stone's throw away, and yet set away from the hustle. It is perfect for both short and long stays whether for business or vacation. Wifi strength is perfect for even "heavy duty" emails, except for the short glitch when Virgin Mobile let down its subscribers. The hotel staff are always warm & friendly and service always impeccable. « less

We booked into the Cranley as we had found an offer on another website and it looked as though the hotel was in a good location for what we wanted to do while we were in London. We arrived very early in the morning having come off the sleeper from Glasgow but we were still met with very friendly and courteous staff, willing to help us and see if our room was ready (this was 09:30am). Although the room wasn't ready, we were offered some coffee (very much appreciated) and were able to drop our bags in for the day. The hotel took my mobile number so that they could phone when the room was ready. We were able to access the room early afternoon (still ahead of check-in) and found out that we had been given the suite at the top of the hotel. The room was fantastic - a huge amount of space, comfortable bed and a balcony with a view of Central London. What was even better were the complimentary Hummingbird cupcakes and then the cakes brought in with the evening turn-down service. The food was excellent for breakfast and the staff always prepared to help and provide a very high level of service.
The hotel's location makes for a nice walk into the city centre in about 45 minutes, but is also close to the museums, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park. Excellent if you want a base to do some shopping or sightseeing and return to an extremely welcoming and comfortable hotel. We will be back! « less

The Cranley is an antiqueish boutique hotel where every room is different. The service (cleaning, room service , concierge) was personal and was outrstanding. They have an onsite "desk" person who will help you with your every need (room, city information, travel, directions, etc). Tiffany was awesome but all of the staff were great. It is a superb location in South Kensington and two blocks from a nice tube station. My only reason for not giving the hotel a 5 rating was the AC in our room did not work well and because we were on the top (4th) floor the room got fairly warm at times. This would have been great in winter but it we were there in May. « less
