Went there on a Wednesday to see the Rolling Stones. Lobby bar was beautiful. Quick fast check in but no shuttle to HP Pavilion- told to use Taxi. Beds were very nice. View of the pool nice, but it appears that pool needs some real attention. Bathroom contained the lowest toilet I have ever tried to stand back up from. Even my wife Midget Dwarf said it was really low. Had a tub and a shower yet shower not hand held- come on get with the year 2000. Despite Lobby bar being beautiful- do not- repeat-do not order any of the contemporary and classy Bar Bites, with an Asian twist appetizers. The Mango Almond Chicken was Chicken McNugget quality and the other dish was entirely forgettable- add two drinks for a $68 dollar bill of fast food failure. It made the decision easy- do not eat dinner here. Waitresses gave off the aura of beaten woman syndrome, but the guy who delivered the McNuggets in a suit at least had a smile.
Breakfast I ordered fresh cooked and I think they just schlepped something luke warm off the buffet. As the Stones say: It's a (deleted by censor)
When we came back to the hotel after the Stones they had a 3 piece torch singer group that was really kind of fun. Drinks were good and we ordered a dessert to share that was up to par.
Tip of the Day Mccormick & Schmick's is next door for dinner
My feelings on the stay were ambivalent to say the least. « less

This is a beautiful property over all, however the rooms are about ready for a renovation...they still have the 10 lightbulb vanity mirror and a phone in the bathroom. Had just a little bit of that 80's feel. But the good news is that it was spotless and very comfortable, rooms were large and I had a cool view palm trees and the museum next door. Great location with plenty of restaurants close by. Service was great. Unfortunately I was only there for one day. I got an amazing deal on a travel website. « less

This is an outstanding premium hotel in the heart of San Jose! Wonderful room and service. Very close to the theater, museums, outstanding restaurants, convention center, San Jose State University, and a moderate drive to all that San Francisco has to offer as well. The bar in the lobby is top notch although can get noisy on nights when live music is featured. Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel. « less

We had a nice stay at the Fairmont. We had a corner room, with a view. Modern clean rooms, high quality sheets and towels. The bathrooms were a little dated, but they were very clean. The air conditioning was very quiet. I noticed this, after staying at another hotel where the air conditioning was noisy enough to interrupt my sleep.
The lobby bar is really impressive. I'm glad we splurged on the Fairmont. « less

I stayed for a couple of days at this Hotel and by far is the worst Fairmont I have stayed. I personally love the Fairmont group, but this Hotel lacks services that are standard in other Fairmonts. There is no complimentary shuttle service for Presidents Club Members, the pool is a 50s design and the installations, even a filling pipe in one of the sides look awfull. Rooms are average. The best thing is location. « less

I have passed your information off to the other administrators so you will probably be hearing form them as well. Thanks again!!!" S.M. - Birmingham, AL
