The property is located in a semi-residential area. The Stonewood Shopping Mall (featuring a Macy’s), the Krikorian Movie Theater (10 theaters) and a variety of restaurants are located within 3 blocks of the Hotel. The Downey Police Department is located in back of the Hotel.
The property has just completed an $8 million dollar renovation. We offer 219 suites and over 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. In addition, we feature the Firestone Grill & Lounge (open for lunch and dinner), Indoor heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi, Complimentary Business Center (open 24/7), Gift Shop and Fitness Room.
We are an all-suite property. All of our two room suites offer a choice of king or 2 double beds and a sofa bed in the parlor. The parlor also features a mini fridge, microwave, wetbar and working table. Our suites can accommodate
up to 6 people. Complimentary parking, full cooked to order breakfast and nightly manager's reception is included in your stay.

We live local and wanted a getaway. We love Embassy Suites for all the amenities they offer and have stayed with your company numerous times. Our stay in Downey was disappointing. The pool had clumps of hair floating around. The carpet in our room was filthy. After we bathed our children, there feet were black from just walking around in the room. We had to wash their feet before they went to bed. As always, the breakfast was a delight. the kids loved the different varieties of cereal. « less

Was on a business trip in the area. Hotel was available and I booked for two nights. Location is on an intersection of two busy roads, one has to expect noise, not excessive though. Parking was complimentary and there were plenty of available spots. Check-in was acceptable, unfortunately we were assigned a smoking room, but they were able to change that. We did end up, however, on a low floor with two beds instead of the booked king size. Hotel is old, built 1985, but was renovated in 2000. Rooms are updated and the suite is spacious with nice flat screen TV. The popcorn ceiling is reminiscent of days gone by. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet and nightly reception was a nice experience. This is a really nice place, we recommend it. « less
