This is the place to stay if you are not fussed by an older hotel. It doesn't have the ambience of the fancy new places, but the rooms are large and immaculately cared for by the staff. The ground staff were equally vigilant: up early to clear the pools of the casuarina needles and using the pool vacuum cleaner to scrub those tiles clean. The animation staff were enthusiastic, despite it being low season and not so many takers for activities. Breakfast was nourishing and set right bedtime the beach. The hotel's sun lounges are free, set underneath the casuarina. No free wifi in the rooms is an anachronism. In mid-May, the tides was starting to come up high, but the beach is still swimmable. In fact, I had a great boogie board one evening outside the hotel on waves that break disconcertingly close to shore. I was worried for the beginner surfboarders that they might damage their necks falling off in such shallow water. No elevator available. Staff were happy for us to have an early check-in. A quick, 25 minute trip from the Phuket airport. At the price we paid, I would go again. The other guests were all quietly having a great time. « less

This April we had a fantastic vacations in this hotel. Very nice location of hotel, surrounded by many places to go out for dinner and lunch. Thai cousine is highly recommended. The beach and sea are very nice, clean, warm water. You can have tan in shadow under huge trees facing the sea or in sun closer to water. Staff was very nice, smiling and helpful. Hotel area is very green with plenty of trees and flowers. Free wi fi works in lobby, near waterpool, on the beach, restaurants. We had a sea view room which was quite big, with balcony. « less

Bangtao beach (one of the most beautiful in Phuket) is in front of the hotel and there is like hotel private beach with great service from hotel!!! The stuff is very very kind and always want to service you with the best way they can!!! Everybody is friendly and always there for you!
