I rarely criticize a company I worked for years, but this property is inconsistent to its core and needs improvement. I've stayed here twice -- and while it is a behemoth, my previous stay was ok. Bear in mind, I can accept a lot in expensive markets -- and London is expensive -- but I always seek a clean room, clean bathroom and comfortable bed. This bed, in Tower Room 1216, fails. I took a short nap after getting into London and woke up with the worst backache I've had in years. Now, it is possible that my sleeping position was awkward or something else was at play, but judging from the level of comfort I am experiencing as I write this on the very same bed, I'd say its better to look elsewhere if you are sensitive to such things. If you must stay here, ask for a renovated room with new mattresses (which apparently I got the last time I was here). « less

My room was situated very high up in the tower, at the end of the corridor, 2101. Rather peculiar layout with lots of walking space but not so much living space. Had to duck to get around the wall mounted flat-TV. Big desk and good chair. No comfy chair to watch TV from, only bed.
A/C rather noisy.
Rather small bathroom, but with tub! Good layout, very nice assortment of towels. Sink of granite, not marble! Positively do not like marble as it absorbs fluids and stains. I do not want to see the leftovers from other guests.
Checked the emergency exits and found them accessible, with nothing in the way to hamper an easy egress.
Could have more counters open for check-in/out, but with the friendly staff everybody wanted to chat a little bit extra. Can't blame them for it.
Grand view, London Eye, Hyde Park, Parlament, etc etc. So great view you'd wish the window cleaners was doing their thing every day.
Walked across the street to Pret a Manger for breakfast. « less

My experience has been a disaster. The Sport Bar (pub) was extremely expensive more than 5 pounds per bottle of beer which is equivalent to 1/2 pint. The Manger who took my order could not explain the menu. I was concerned about some ingredients (allergies) and it needed more than 15 minutes to answer my question. No recommendation has been given to me about food and wine. Nevertheless I enjoyed my expensive beer and I decided to go to another place to have dinner. I would not recommend to anyone to spend an evening at this bar, there are better places to splash out your money. « less
