We are a brand new Hampton Inn & Suites in Port Allen, Louisiana opened in December 2009 and we provide extremely friendly service and your people would be very confortable at our hotel. Included in the room rate is breakfast. Your people will enjoy the variety of food at one the hotel industries best " On the House" hot breakfast. For their convenience we have free super high speed internet in their room and for those who don't bring their computer we have one in the business center or they can unwind and watch their favorite shows on a 32" television.. If they would like to snack they can get items from our "Suite Shop and prepare them in their microwaves and store their items in their refrigerators that are in every room. Finally they can work out in the fitness center and them wind down with in the shower featuring a water pick shover head and get a restfuo night's sleep on our cloud nine beds. We also have an outdoor pool. We have a nice meeting room with 600 square feet of space and we set up all meeting with water, pens, pads, mints and linen is used. We provide free flipcharts and screen and easels and we can acquire any audio visual equipment you need.

The complimentary breakfast is well-stocked and good. The air conditioners work well and the beds are comfortable. I recommend this to anyone visiting LSU. I stayed here passing through for work. The hotel is directly off of the highway. It sits along several other hotels (although this one is further back) and there is a strip of food chains all along the road. My first impression when I walked in was very inviting. The front desk staff were extremly nice. The rooms were great. For the price I was surprised at how spacious the rooms were. I had enough room to work out to my Insanity DVD in the morning. Rooms came with a mini fridge and microwave. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bathrooms were huge. Some minor issues were there was a huge stain in the carpet in the middle of the floor. Also the foot towel on the tub was soaking wet like it had already been used. But they did supply an abundance of towels so I just moved it in a corner. Breakfast the next morning was really good and the breakfast seating area was really nice and modern. The breakfast staff was friendly and kept a fresh supply of food. Overall this place was a good stay. It's away from the city and traffic but close enough to needed amenities. This is a great hotel if you are passing through and need a quiet place to relax. I would recommend staying at this hotel. « less
