The Courtyard by Marriott Cancun is truly a unique product new to the Cancun market. The Courtyard by Marriott Cancun has 201 rooms of which 195 are deluxe standard rooms and 6 are one-bedroom suites.
All rooms have either 1 king bed or 2 double beds, lounge chair, desk with electrical outlets and ergonomic executive chair, complimentary high-speed internet access, 32” LCD TV with remote control, international channels, on-command movies, games, and hook-up for use as computer monitor, stereo alarm clock with MP3 hook-up, large electronic safety deposit box, coffee maker, mini-fridge, iron & ironing-board, bathroom with shower/tub combination, granite vanity top, make-up and extra large vanity. In addition to the above features, the one-bedroom suites have a living-room, dining-room, kitchenette and bathroom with steam shower and separate bedroom with 1 king bed. They can also be extended to a 2-bedroom suite with a connecting double-double on the living room side.
2 handicap accessible rooms are available on the ground floor; one with roll-in shower.
Restaurant El Henequen
Mon – Fri: 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Sat – Sun: 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Set as an extensive dining room of a traditional Mexican hacienda, this restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a truly spectacular setting. With seating indoors with air-conditioning or outdoors on the large covered terrace, enjoy traditional Mexican fare, regional delicacies, and an excellent choice of wines.

4 p.m. – 11 p.m. daily
Cozy oversized lounge chairs and sofas and soft music invite guests to this comfortable lounge bar where you can savor the best of domestic and international beverages. Sip on an exquisite tequila or refresh with an ice-cold beer as you relax in the company of other guests. You can also choose to stay in the bar and order dinner from the El Henequen menu.
La Terraza
7 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily
Transport yourself in time to the old-fashioned comforts and large terraces of the Mexican Haciendas enjoying the view of the lush tropical garden while the oversized fans above keep you cool and the soft light from the wrought-iron lamps illuminate for the perfect atmosphere while you enjoy the complete menu from El Henequen.

Immediately close to Cancun airport this is an excellent whistle-stop or longer stop venue after a long flight to Mexico. Remarkably free of aircraft noise this hotel offers everything you could need. Helpful, welcoming, and efficient staff, generous size rooms, effective airconditioning, and a pleasant swimming pool to shake off the jet lag. For an economy sub-brand of the Marriott chain this 'Courtyard' hotel is a fine example of how a value hotel should be. The restaurant is a bit large and the food somewhat less than cordon bleu, but the waiters are cheerful and plenty of folk will like the generous portions and familiar North American fare. Rapid check-out and off you go to start your Mexican holiday. Book ahead on the internet for a good value deal and there is a free shuttle from the airport if you need it. We had an Avis car reserved at the airport and the staff there gave us very good directions to the hotel. Half a mile at the most and an easy drive in unfamiliar conditions which anyone could manage « less

If you need to have a convenient place to stay near the airport in Cancun, look no further than the Courtyard by Marriott. Their shuttle will get you quickly there, the rooms are quiet, there is a nice pool and the restaurant is excellent! Lots of breakfast options including a large buffet and we enjoyed an evening meal there as well. You can dine inside our outside on the patio. Helpful staff as well -- I give this hotel full marks! « less

This Courtyard is very quaint and cozy. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Poolside drinks via request. The hotel offers a shuttle just outside of the airport and is just 10 mins away. Not a Cancun "party" hotel--very and quiet. As a flight attendant I stay in hotels more than 50 percent of the month so being able to fly into Cancun for just R and R and having quiet accommodations is appreciated. There is also a shuttle that will take you to nearby beach which departs the hotel 2X a day and will pick you up! Would recommend and will use as an annual hotel choice when visiting Cancun alone. « less

We are staying in this hotel for 2 nights after our stay in the beach strip Hotel Zone area. Pros: This hotel is extremely clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The room: spacious room with super comfortable bed and pillows, mini fridge , no microwave in the room but pretty much everything else is provided. The hotel amenities: Onsite restaurant, breakfast buffet (not complimentary), nice pool and Jacuzzi, free airport shuttle which is a good plus. Very quiet and nice backyard around the pool withe a zen feel to it.
Cons: Well the only one con I see might be a pro for others depending on how you look at it is the location, the hotel is located close to the airport which is very convenient but further away from the downtown area which takes almost 40 minutes to an hour to get by bus. But if you need to be staying near the airport for a pre or post vacation this will be a great location.
All in all this property is worth the visit. « less
