I stayed post cruise at the Comfort Inn, the rooms are very small and quite hot even with the air con going.But the location is really central, right in the middle of the gaslamp district. You are within walking distance of Horton Plaza and the Trolley car. Saturday night is very noisy. Breakfast is included, and is quite adequate, staff in front office very helpful. « less

Stayed here for 1 night. I picked it for the price and the location. If your looking for more than that you might be dissapointed. Just a 10 min wall to the convention centre. Room was very small and tight. If you do not expect much maybe for the price this will will do for you.. « less

Stayed at the Comfort Inn on a recent trip to San Diego. There is a free shuttle to the hotel from the San Diego Airport. Hotel is conveniently located in the Gaslamp district and within walking distance to the train stop. Room contained refrigerator, microwave and in-room coffee. The room was small and sink located next to the bed but had a large countertop which was nice. We were going to get breakfast but ended up at the free buffet as it was very good and had everything we needed. Front desk was able to direct us to restaurants in the area & provided an area map. Would stay there again. « less

Booked this hotel via Booking.com. The images online don't accurately represent this premises. The rooms are small and extemely dated. The bathroom is tiny and the hand basin is located in the room beside the bed. Air con was loud and the fan did not work. Wouldn't stay here again, however the location was great. « less

I travelled with a companion. We were on a budget & wanted separate beds in the same room. I couldn't book this directly online through clever-hotels.com so put it down as a preference in two places on booking form. My friend phoned hotel to check they'd received request for separate beds. They had not & said it would be an extra $100 for the 5 day stay for 2 beds. She reluctantly agreed. The charge was waived by the very pleasant woman on reception! Beds comfy. Bathroom adequate. Coffee good & on tap 24/7 in reception area. Breakfast good. Location good but maybe 1 block away from the safest most central area. On first morning at about 9am we were followed by a creep who seemed intent on mugging us - we walked very fast into Giardellos. He came in then vanished when a staff member came up to us to say they weren't open yet. Apart from one other crazy but harmless guy we did not feel threatened by the people living in the streets. Would go back to hotel. « less
