We stayed here as part of a Peppa Pig World package for two nights and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Friendly check-in staff with goodies bag for our two year old and vouchers for milk and cookies. Decent, if slightly dated, triple room was clean and tidy with enough space for the three of us. Their breakfast is what really stands out. It was a very good buffet breakfast with full English, pancakes, fruit, meats & cheeses etc. Well done!! The spa was great too. Adults pool, kiddies pool and jacuzzi. There was also a steam room and sauna which we did not use. All round this hotel punches above its weight. « less

No real complaints but felt hotel was average and more expensive in comparison to the Premier Inn along the road. Reception area was clean and reception staff very helpful. Soft pillows that I'd requested were just thinner versions of the firm pillows! Breakfast was expensive so we ate in the Wetherspoons across the road from the station.; breakfast there was excellent and very reasonably priced. « less

We stayed at this hotel two nights in April, 2013. Both times we were very pleased with the service. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. The internet connection was fast. We had breakfast both mornings. The selection was excellent, even had blood pudding. On the first visit, we had an early dinner at the bar. Food (sausage and mash and a leek pastry) was good and the service excellent. On the second visit, we stayed there because we were going to board the NCL's new cruise ship, The Breakaway, the next day. If you arrive by train at the Eastleigh station, you can walk to the hotel. We had too much luggage so we used a cab. There is a huge parking lot at this hotel which makes it so nice for us Americans who are challenged with parking in tight spaces in Europe. « less

We've stayed at this hotel twice now with our children and it is simply perfect. All the staff are really welcoming and helpful. As we arrived on both occasions the children were presented with a balloon each, a goody bag and a voucher for milk and cookies. If staying with children request one of their family rooms, I believe there are only three so you will need to book early. This gives you a suite with two separate bedrooms and a bathroom for the cost of a double - a godsend if like us you have 3 children as there is a sofa bed in the second bedroom and a cot can be provided.
When we stayed last year the food was ok but not great but this year there have been huge improvements. The gourmet burger with Brie and cranberry was delicious. And kids eat free when an adult is buying a meal so great value to. In the morning the breakfast choice is excellent and they have recently added a pancake machine which the children loved.
There is a lovely pool with jacuzzi which is open to children at set times and a separated lane for any adults wanting to do lengths without dodging children which is thoughtful. Also a top tip If you are a priority club member you can get extended check out for free to 2pm depending on availability.
As mentioned in some reviews it's not the most glamorous building from outside but don't let that put you off because what's inside is really the best in terms of service, feeling at ease, and facilities for a relaxing trip away with the family. « less
