As the largest five star hotel in Edinburgh with 269 bedrooms and an exclusive Club Level, the Sheraton Grand has been a popular gathering place at the heart of the city for many years. Following an extensive refurbishment, there could be no better time to rediscover this unique venue overlooking Edinburgh Castle.
From the moment you set foot inside the inviting, granite-floored lobby, you will feel perfectly at home. The library, with its welcoming fireplace and refined colour palette, offers a haven of tranquillity, while Link@sheraton ™, our unique physical and virtual space, incorporating the latest Microsoft technology, makes it easy to catch up with colleagues or connect with the world outside.
A striking glass and steel staircase leads up to One Square, our vibrant new restaurant and bar. Open from early in the morning until last thing at night, One Square offers a deliciously inventive range of classic British dishes all day long, including laid-back brunch, indulgent afternoon tea and relaxed dining. Thanks to the considered drinks list – featuring an impressive 40 different varieties of premium gin – not to mention the modern interior and welcoming glass frontage, the bar at One Square is fast becoming the venue of choice for guests and locals alike.
Of course, if you’d prefer a quiet night in, our stylish new bedrooms won’t disappoint. Blending contemporary comfort and subtly Scottish materials, all bedrooms feature Sweet Sleeper beds, cutting-edge media hubs and glass-walled bathrooms. Guests staying on the Club Level can not only enjoy luxurious surroundings, but they also have access to the exclusive Club Lounge – where they can savour a complimentary breakfast, and help themselves to a drink or snack.
While much has changed, some things at the Sheraton Grand have always been hard to beat, from One Spa's iconic rooftop Hydropool, serene Thermal Suite and soothing Spa Treatments, to the breathtaking views of the Edinburgh skyline. A short distance from the airport and with railway stations nearby, the Sheraton Grand is perfectly placed for experiencing all the history and spectacle of this fascinating capital city.

Wow! What a nice large modern city centre hotel. Expensive, yes but with a club room on the 7th floor,it has additional benefits, what an experience. The room tastefully designed with quality furniture and included 'Mood Lighting' for the room and bathroom, green, blue and red plus a few more vibrant colours to select. The lighting buttons were however confusing, perhaps if I had read the brochure it may have been easier to work out! My wife had the best nights sleep ever and she wants me to buy the same bed for her!!!! Staff were very polite and efficient. This hotel is at the top end and probably one of the best hotels in Edinburgh! Everything from the cutlery to the bathroom facilities are top notch. Yes, the bar prices are expensive, but it is expected at a hotel of this standard and quality. The food was also very good and very well presented. Great choices for breakfast. Internet is free and several computers are provided for use by guests. Newspapers (The Scotsman and Financial Times are freely available in the Club Lounge as well as the reception area. There is plenty of comfortable seating all around the hotel where you can relax as well as the bar area. I would like to spend a long weekend here to relax and use all of the facilities and see more of the city. New Years Eve would be very exciting here! « less

Travelled to Edinburgh with the wife as part of our drive around the UK. The hotel's location at Festival Square(within walking distance to all the sights and sounds of the city including the Royal Mile) was perfect to explore the city on foot.
Was especially impressed by the room we were assigned - it was very modern with a great view over the square. The bathroom was modern with mood lighting and we were very happy to camp out for half a day after a long drive down from the highlands.
The hotel's restaurant One Square was also a great place to have dinner. Will definitely be back here if we are in Edinburgh again! « less

I travel to Edinburgh, from the US, frequently on business and normally stay at another hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel choice. The Sheraton is centrally located, and close to the castle, the royal mile, shopping and lots of attractions. The hotel is new and very modern. I've gotten used to smallish rooms, by US standard, when traveling in the UK and I was very pleasantly surprised that the rooms here are quite large, in comparison. There is WiFi in the common areas and rooms (for an additional charge) and the bar and restaurant are spacious and convenient. The staff at the Sheraton is very courteous and helpful.
The Sheraton is located on Festival square and there are literally dozens of restaurants, pubs and attractions within a ten minute walk. « less

Whilst I only stayed here one night arriving at 2230 hrs from the Airport, this hotel left a stong impression and I would be delighted to return. It is a modern hotel with a warm ambience and a pleasant professional welcome on arrival. The room was sufficiently spacious not to feel cramped and together with the bathroom was very well furnished. It also had a great view overlooking Festival Square and the Castle.
I managed a quick drink in the bar which did not disappoint with its great section of malt whiskys and a balcony overlooking the square for those occasional warmer days in Scotland.
A good breakfast and friendly staff set me the following morning for a busy day. « less

Very nice property. We were here for a meeting. Rooms are large by European standards. Plenty of closet space and drawers. Very large TV. Desk and small table with two chairs in addition to bed.
On the positive side - bed was very comfortable. Sheets and pillow of high quality. Very nice. Extra touches like robes and slippers. Very nice toiletry products.
On the other side - bathroom has glass doors, which is attractive. However, if two people are staying in room and not on same sleeping/waking schedule, the light shines into the bed area. Plus, it doesn't block out the sound of water well. Also, the location of light switches and which goes where was terribly confusing. We kept turning lights on and off in a way that interrupted sleep. « less
