I travel to Louisville every week for work and stay a couple nights so I've had the pleasure of sampling many of the hotels in this price range. The ramada is by far the nicest place for the money. I stay on weeknights so I've not experienced the hotel while it was full. My room had everything you need and then some. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a lot to offer that Ive not even checked out yet but will update with a new review after a few weeks of staying there. The staff was all helpful and polite. There is a wicks pizza and a coffee shop in the hotel along with vending machines. In the coming weeks Ill check out the arcade, fitness center and pool. I'm sure everything will be just fine as everything I've experienced so far has been great. « less

Friends and I decided to go to Thunder Over Louisville and a mystic fair the next day. I reserved a room for the four of us, which turned into six just before we got there.
I arrived at the hotel at 3pm, and my room was ready. The desk clerk was awesome, gave me my four keys, map and told me which door to park by.
The room was perfect for us, we had a room just off the courtyard behind the indoor pool area. The lighting problem from my last trip was not an issue this trip. There was overhead lighting in the courtyard and you could clearly see the steps. We had an elderly family member with us who has trouble with steps and our room was on the ground floor near the door out to the parking area. The shower's controls were reversed as others have mentioned, I think this is due to these not being the original fixtures. It didn't take much time to figure them out. Te toilet and sink worked fine.
The service was great, from the front desk to the lifeguards. I overheard someone say they were going to the pool area to attend to some disruptive kids, which I was glad to hear. My previous stay there were too many kids running around unsupervised. Since we had two extra people staying with us on the floor, we asked for pillows, blankets and towels and the front desk had everything for us immediately.
The pool was chilly but not too bad. Plenty of towels were poolside and they were refilled when they got low. Great experience this trip!
I didn't have time to visit Wick's Pizza this trip, but hope to next visit. :) « less

The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job keeping our room cleaned and well stocked. The band played well after 2 a.m. and keep us awake both Friday and Saturday night. « less
