We were stuck in PHX overnite recently and had to get a room very late and very last minute and stayed at this property as very close to the airport. While the airport lobby is a little tired and outdated we received the best service from the overnite hotel clerk! When i called he was so helpful and sent a shuttle immediately. When we arrived he was so very nice and professional and set up the shuttle for the next am to return to airport. I am so sorry I dont recall his name and meant to write as soon as home but failed to. He said he was fairly new there but was very knowledable and such a pleasure to deal with...... « less

Platinum members are not upgraded to nice rooms here and that is always a downside for me. But, the horrible speed of the Internet is 1990's speed. The max is 1.5 and it is never that speed. During peak times, the speed crawled. I did speak to front desk about this 3 times and they had me to switch signals but they are all the same. They now have a provider that offers them sub par Internet speed and this is not what I need as a business traveler. Internet is crucial to my stay and here I could not wait to get out of the hotel and on to the next one. « less

I love this hotel and the people who work here. I stay here every time I go to Phoenix. Close (very close) to the airport and Downtown Tempe, it's got the most comfortable beds, clean rooms and wonderful all inclusive breakfast. Nice pool, nice hot tub. Great place overall. « less

Absolutley NOTHING bad to say about Springhill Suites Tempe !! Short 10 minute drive from Sky Harbor Airport / PHX. The most relaxing overnight stay in a long long time. Marriott Rewards members taken care of very well. The "King Executive" was perfect. I needed a 10:30pm Sunday night meal and the front desk requested "Bostons" on University. Thanks to the staff at this property.....great job !! (Planes flying into airport are heard, but not an issue) « less

I stayed here for a week and a half for work. It has a nice little kitchenette with a microwave, sink, and refrigerator. They provide you with paper plates and plasticware, it isn't like a full on Residence Inn but totally doable. The hotel staff are very nice, the breakfast has a lot of choices: much more than a continental breakfast. They even give you little bags to talk breakfast to go, which I really appreciated. One night I was so tired I bought microwave food in the lobby and had a very simple dinner for a very reasonable price. It got a little noisy on Saturday night because the Color Run was in town, but they really couldn't help that. Lastly, the location is very close to ASU, the Tempe Marketplace and downtown Tempe so I ate at a lot of really nice restaurants - really lots of options closeby. And Tempe is a good launching off place to see more of the Greater Phoenix area. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason it didn't get a fifth circle is because the housekeeping staff kept moving the little shampoos, etc that they provide from the shower back to the sink area. Then I'd be in the shower before I noticed, Happened every couple of days. « less
