The only negative critique was the bartender who seemed like he couldn't wait to have his patrons leave at the 11 pm! bar closing time. I highly recommend this Best western hotel. « less

From the moment you enter the doors of this hotel you feel the quality of workmanship and care they take to preserve it's heritage. A spacious hallway with gleaming slate floors leads the the front desk area. The photos framed over the front desk area chronicle the rich history of the establishment. We were delighted with the suite. It was roomy, updated and very clean with an extremely comfortable bed. Very much liked having the sink separated from the bathroom. The shower was a treat. I actually measured it as we hope to renovate one to that exact size. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The concierge (who hails from Iceland) kindly drove us to the concert we were attending and gave us a tour on the way. We were made to feel right at home. Our quick check-in and check-out were done by Jason and Joe who were very professional and courteous. We have visited the Normandy before and plan to visit as often as possible and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful visit. Rosemary S « less

Mike and Bonnie are spectacular innkeepers! They obviously care deeply about the hotel and the restaurant. Don't skip the restaurant...not your normal hotel restaurant. I recommend the fish and chips and sliders! « less

nothing was clean with certain glasses and a light you see every thing. don't need to say what happens when you don't change sheets. I said something and got told it was a clean room. went to store and got blanket to lay on. it was the worst time and then the next day I complained and went for walk came back they told me I mas smoking in room. maybe because other people herd me complain but I didn't smoke in room at all I think they just wanted money. if I get reimbursed I will stop telling about my bad stay. the way I see it is the hotel just wanted money or didn't like when I told them the bed was not clean. it's the truth and if they want it to stop then reimburse me otherwise people need to know about the habits of your cleaning and how bad it is. I will never stay again at a best western and I will tell everyone on line and at a local radio show that everyone listens to. don't want to but I will for what is not fare. « less

The Normandy Inn & Suites is a 100% smoke free hotel. Unfortunately you decided to break the rules and smoke marijuana in the room. Smoking marijuana is not only illegal but The Normandy will charge a $200 cleaning fee and any occupants of the room will be evicted immediately. You were explained this at the time of the eviction by management and agreed to the consequences. Many days later you personally told me that you would post false bad reviews unless I refunded your money. Because of the disturbance you caused our fellow guests, the harassment of my staff and myself, and the extensive cleaning process that goes into eliminating such heavy smoke you will not be refunded and you are not allowed to stay with us again. I apologize to all readers of this review as it is not a true representation of our property.
