I got this hotel on a discount website deal, but knew this was the hotel I would get after doing lots of research. Although my preference would have been to stay at a hotel onsite at Disney, this was 1/4 of the price. The hotel is very nicely furnished and a large size for one room. There was a very large LG flat screen that my 4 year old son was impressed with as well. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Disney front gate and about a 5 minute walk to the Toy Story parking lot where you can take a bus to the gate. Most of the time we just did the walk though. I would recommend this hotel for those that also can't stomach 300 plus for a room onsite. All of the employees were very friendly and they had a concierge that several times gave my four year old Disney stickers which he loved as well! « less

We came to Anaheim for 3 days at the Disney parks, and chose this hotel because of a tip from another reviewer. The hotel is near the toy story parking lot, but not 50 feet. You actually have to walk around the block to get into the shuttle area, probably about 1/2 mile or so.
The staff were very friendly, the dining area was a bit dingy. The room(king bed) was very nice along with the bathroom. I was extremely disappointed about no hot tub here. Especially after walking many hours at the parks, we really needed the soaking. Overall, we liked this hotel but will opt for one with a hot tub next time. « less

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Just to share with you that the hotel does have a stop for the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) in front of the hotel. Please be aware that the shuttle area that you are referring to is the Toy Story Parking Lot which is overflow parking for guests going to Disney for the day. I am sorry for the confusion. My husband and I go to Disneyland quite often, and we have tried about 5 different hotels in the area. Red Lion is in a great location, and is a fairly decent hotel for regular standards, and for Disneyland area hotels, it is fantastic. The rooms are modern looking, albeit cheaply updated and have a few stains, rips, tears, etc..., but certainly a good choice for DL. If you can get a good deal here, take it. The pool area is nice enough. The outdoor seating and firepit areas are always taken, and there is not hot tub (but the weather is usually so nice anyway) The service is quite good. Overall, we would stay again and probably will. « less

First to be fair, I must say that I have stayed at many Red Lion hotels and they have all been wonderful. This hotel is no different in that the rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. My only complaints about the room itself is that the shower pressure could be improved and the walls are paper thin and the wireless internet was slow.
Now, for the really bad. I accidently left some clothes hanging in the closet when I left. I knew immediately I had left them so when I go home I called the hotel right away. I was told they would look for them and get back to me. No one called so the next day I called back to get, "we looked for your clothes but they aren't here." I asked for them to look further into it because I know that they were there and I gave a detailed description of the items. I was then told we will get back to you. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. So I called the corporate office to make a complaint, and of course the next day I got a call. I was told they had talked to the maid who cleaned my room and she stated there were no clothes. LETS BE REAL HERE, AT THAT POINT OF COURSE SHE IS NOT GOING TO ADMIT THAT SHE TOOK THEM. Chris, the director of rooms, apologized profusely and offered to refund my parking to compensate for the cost of the clothes.
Two weeks later the refund still had not shown on my account. I called Chris to ask the status. He stated that the refund had been sent but to give it a few more days. He also stated he would talk with his accounting department to be sure. A week later, still no refund. I called Chris again to ask about the refund, and as always I got his voice mail so I left a message but HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE REFUND I WAS PROMISED.
I highly discourage anyone from staying here. The customer service is terrible. It seems to me that if you have a problem they just ignore you in hopes you will go away. So sad, because I really do like Red Lion hotels, but I will never stay at another Red Lion again because of the expierence I had here. « less

I know that an apology will do little to replace your belongings, but I am sorry. I also want to let you know that I have followed up with our Accounting Department and all credits due should have been processed.
