I have stayed in tons of hotels and I would have to rate the staff here as best ever! Who ever trains and hires these fine folks know what they are doing!! Yes, I had a couple of very minor glitches ( weird reservation) but the staff was so gracious and accommodating it didn't matter. Extremely convenient location if you don't mind walking a little bit ( I walked everywhere even though there was free transit) perfect location for a show, museums and nightlife. Very comfy and clean rooms. I mean clean! I was attending a conference held there...the meeting rooms were a little tight but nothing crazy. Highly recommend this hotel. Front desk clerk recommended a couple of music spots for real music....like Roberts Western World....and he was right! Can't wait to take my hubby back to Nashville! « less

Where to start, to set the scene, we were a large group of 44 travelling with Thomas Cook, therefore we didn't check in ourselves. The hotel is tired and although the atrium is massive, if it wasn't there the hotel looks like a high level motel or block of council flats. All four elevators were slow, the skirting in our room (506)!was held together and in place by gaffa tape. The shower was the worst on our trip. The bath needs regrouting. The hotel needs a complete remodelling, which is due next year. Our bags took over an hour to reach us via the bellboy. Many of the party received the incorrect bags and the front desk staff were very UNHELPFUL. I asked to be given my parents room number to exchange a bag and they rang the room, it turns out the phones were not working. My bag kept going up and down in the elevator and eventually we managed to retrieve it. The front desk staff laughed at our predicament. The hotel is meant to be non smoking, our room stank of smoke and the aircon vent had air freshness in it to mask the smell. The bed linen was stained (red wine) and crumpled. The front desk staff all need sending to Vegas to see how a busy hotel is run correctly. On a positive note, Corinthia and Miles in the bar were excellent hosts and should be recognised for that. My parents, and others, had issues with charging items to their room, no communication or information displayed about having your card swiped prior to using for room changes eg bar and restaurant - if you didn't pay within 24 hours you got locked out of your room! One front desk person (male) accused one of our party of bring rude, when infact the opposite was correct, the ignored the customer for 5 minutes, no one else was around, they then said a bill would be sent by email but he didn't say how much the bill was, this was the second time they requested manager assistance as the bill should have been zero, not over 100 dollars. Sort it out Sheraton, your customer service for front desk staff is seriously lacking and well below expected industry standards. « less

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts after your recent stay at the Sheraton Downtown Nashville. While I realize your stay was less than perfect, I appreciate your time to share your feedback about your experience. Rest assured I have shared your comments with the hotel team, and each of your concerns are being addressed. I sincerely apologize for any confusions you may have experienced regarding your luggage delivery and the maintenance issues you ran into. Please know that this is not typical of the services we provide. We strive to create an atmosphere where one may feel at home and relaxed and it’s unfortunate to hear when our guests are not able to experience just that. Constructive criticism is what inspires the hotel to raise the bar and increase our levels of service. Thank you so much for your warm praise for Corinthia and Miles, they are both shining stars and it is wonderful when they receive the praise that they deserve! I have thanked them for taking such good care of you during your stay. Once again, I would like to apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay and I would love the chance to welcome you back to the Sheraton Downtown so we can ensure that your next stay goes much better than your last! I hope your group enjoyed the rest of our tour and we look forward to seeing you sometime in the near the future. Warm Regards,

Stayed here last month whilst my husband attended a conference, and it was only an OK experience. The room itself was a good size with a comfy seating area, clean and comfortable bed. We were on the 11th floor and even though we were there for 5 nights, were put in a room with no view and the noise from the lifts kept us awake. Location is OK with a few nice restaurants around - beware that most of them are near to a Church and so you can't buy alcohol! My main disappointment with this hotel is it's lack of any outside space at all and so by the end of our time there I was going a bit stir crazy and had to go across the road to sit on a hard bench in the Memorial Park to read my book. Gym and pool and in the basement, so claustrophobic and rather smelly. « less

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us regarding your recent trip to the Sheraton Downtown Nashville. I do apologize that you didn't feel recognized for your lengthy stay; our staff usually goes above and beyond to make ALL of our guests feel like VIP's so it is unfortunate to hear that we may have let one VIP slip by without us properly acknowledging you during your 5 nights. I'm glad to hear that it sounds like you were able to get out and see some sights and enjoy some delicious dining while you were in town! I hope you have the chance to return to visit us, and we will make sure to get you in a nice quiet room with a premium view so you can really enjoy yourself and relax. Although we are in the vicinity of some very beautiful old churches, almost all of the neighborhood restaurants do offer a full bar, and there is also a very lovely wine and spirits store just down the street from us, so next time we can point you in the right direction and perhaps even offer you a cocktail, on us. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, and we look forward to welcoming you back sometime in the near future! Warm Regards, Macy

There was everything out to give an impression of quality and sumptuousness from the white flowered decorated revolving doors to the iced fruit filled huge decanter of water. However the hotel room carpet had three blobs of chewing gum well trodden into it, but still sticky. The noise from the four elevators in constant use was sleep disturbing . The keys for the room did not work properly and there were multiple journeys to rectify the matter from floor 16. The beds were very clean cosy and comfortable. The tap water ran very slowly and not much came out of the taps. There was a smell from the bathroom, which seemed to come from the plug holes, of other rooms sewerage. The wi-fi was chargeable to your room and at 15 dollars a day plus tax was quite a rip off for guests. The hotel is conveniently situated near the Honky-tonk area of Nashville and the trip into the Area was an amazing experience , albeit an uphill walk back to the hotel. I was disappointed with the facilities of the Sheraton hotel. « less

We appreciate constructive criticism, as it encourages us to raise the bar and make sure we are providing our guests with the most enjoyable stay as possible. I am sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay, please know that this is in no way typical of the services that we provide. This hotel, was clean, well appointed and conveniently located in downtown Nashville, near the Capitol and government offices. Of course that makes it a little farther from the Honky tonks downtown, but a short and safe 10 minute walk in each direction. I ate in the hotel twice, once for lunch, I had a veggie wrap with fruit and it was well done. The other for a breakfast buffett which was also well done. I don't eat buffet's in hotels that often, and the price of this one seemed lower (approx 14.00) compared to others I have seen. Really nice open bar area on the ground floor that served as a wonderful meeting area during the day for me and my peers to finish up conversations after our business meetings. It was also a lively spot the night before when we gathered before heading honky tonking (all work and no play yada yada)..... « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"By the way, I was very pleased with your site's service! It turned out that our group got a better room price reservation at a comparable hotel to the one we were considering. Since our small jazz band doesn't really have any budget to speak of, price was an important consideration and thanks to your service we were able to save money without sacrificing on the quality and amenities of the hotel. Thanks again! We'll be using you again, I'm sure, for future trips." D.R. - Auburn, WA
"Thank you so much for an amazing website. I had a very short time frame to manage a bus tour of 45. I needed hotels and banquets in less than 10 days. The destination was West Palm Beach - high season - and effectively sold-out. Within two hours I had responses back from three available hotels within my price range. I was able to sign a contract within 24 hours and manage the rest of the program. I continue to be impressed with your concept and will be a frequent user of your site." L.B. - Grand Rapids, MI
