Stayed here for 3 nights for a city break in late autumn. We were allocated a lovely room, good size with great views over the Bhosphorous - requested in advance. The hotel is in a good location and a short walk to bars and restaurants. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was excellent, although after dinner liquors were eye wateringly expensive so we decided to venture out for a night cap in a local bar instead.
All in all a good standard and what one would expect from an Intercontinental. « less

My wife and I stayed there as part of a large company event and so we got upgraded to a very nice suite. As you would expect the service was good, the rooms were clean and the food was okay as you come to expect with the Intercontinental brand. It is located very near the soccer stadium so one night was hard to get away from the hotel, but it was fine for the other nights. Loved the views of the Bosphorus from our room and Istanbul is one of the best cities we have ever visited. « less

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on business in early May. Beautiful, immaculately clean room with impressive view overlooking the city and the Dardanelles in the distance. Service is exceptional: everywhere there is staff to greet you and to make you feel they are there for your every need. Lobby has a little bakery bar where you can get yummy treats and coffee and just sit and watch people come and go. 2nd floor restaurant offered excellent buffet breakfast and seemed to cater to several cultural palates. Went up to the rooftop bar and restaurant which had a magnificent view - the entire side view looks over the Dardanelles. Food was good and Efes dark beer is a real treat. Sat out one day at the pool which is filled to the brim with water. Pleasant to sit under the adjoining canopy and snack, particularly with either Efes beer (and others) or some good wines. Comfortable, laid back, service somnewhat slow but always under the watchful eye of the staff to meet you service needs. Didn't have a lot of time to see the sites, but cab to Blue Mosque (recommended) was just 20TL (45 on the way back). Took an evening stroll down Istiklal Street to some fun sidewalk restaurants by the Galata Tower. Everyone in Istabul seemed to be out on the mall. A must see and do. Be a little leary, though, of the days when soccer fans congregate to watch and then celebrate local victories. If things get a little chaotic then, best to take a cab home.
The business side was well handled as they crafted a great meeting facility for 50 people. Put two beautiful meeting rooms together for a great layout and every need met - seating arrangements, pad boards, markers, microphones, copying, etc.
In all, an excellent hotel with impeccable service. « less

I stayed in intercontinental from 14/4/2013 till 22/04/2013, really it was 5 star stay. I stayed with my family in club room, u don't have to worry about what to eat out there was a snakes the whole day almost & the hotel facilities was amazing spa & gym very nice, sauna, steam room & and of course the Turkish bath. Room view...was amazing, full view on the phosphors..stunning view specially on the mid of the day before sun set watching the ships all type of it cruising...even if u don't feel to leave your room, the view is enough, so I recommend the rooms with a sea view. The hotel located in the taksim square just 3 minutes walking to shopping area..restaurants which located in taksim square & also the hotel near by the metro few steps only from The hotel. Staff were very nice and cooperate with us. We stayed in 17 floor just under the resturant which was little bit noisy from the band during the weekend, I have to close my ears to be able to sleep cause the sound or party was till more than 3:00 a.m...other wise everything was amazing at the hotel. « less
