The TRYP Munich City Center is centrally located at the city centre, very close to Stachus business district and next to Theresienwiese - site of the world-famous Oktoberfest, and just a short distance from Deutsches Theater. Very good connection to public transportation: 200 m from Metro station Theresienwiese and close to the central railway station. Only a 40 minutes ride from/to the International Airport Franz Josef Strauss and 20 minutes from/to Munich Trade Fair.
The restaurant "Plaza Dining" serves Spanish, international and regional specialties in a modern atmosphere (open from 6.30 to 10.00 am, 12.00 to 2.00 pm and from 6.00 to 10 pm. The lobby bar is located next to the reception.
TRYP Munich City Center offers three meeting rooms with natural light, carpet and a size between 18-90 square meters and a capacity for up to 70 people.
For your event coordination you will have an individual contact person at your disposal. The standard conference equipment includes overhead projector, flipchart, whiteboard, screen; additional conference equipment with costs: copier, fax.

This was the 2nd time at the hotel for a family holiday. The good points: 1. Even for older folk they found distance to city centre was manageable though a taxi to Munich Stn cost 4 adults 10 Euros 2. It's been nicely refurbed. Beds are comfy and walk in shower are defo plus! 3. Restaurant still serves good buffet breakfast and they serve food in the evenings as well. 4. Security boxes available in lobby. Staff are helpful with good level of English.
Not so good; 1. Oh dear - why for a 4* have they got such Mingy towels? Grey threadbare rags. Must do better! 2. Breakfast time when busy - get there EARLY! Seating was a nightmare on 1st day and if you are a Brit don't queue!! The Spaniards will just waltz in front! In fairness it was the weekend of the big Bayern Munich footie party but why leave 2 empty tables set up for a party later on when guests are clamouring for food??
Would I return? Definitely but check first the towels are better!! « less

Hotel is in a convenient location near city center. Hotel is quite small with a tiny elevator.rooms were small but quite chic. bed was comfortable but very narrow and my friend did fall off her bed several times during sleep !! .The place is in the middle of turkish establishments. Around the hotel , you will find lot of turkish restaurants and grocery shops. Though the hotel is in a convenient location it was badly lit and we found it uncomfortable to walk around. « less

Thank you for taking the time to post on our property. We are sorry to hear that you found our beds too small. Next time, please ask for one of our newly renovated TRYP guest rooms. For a small supplement of only EUR 15 you will enjoy a big King- or Queen-size DreamMax mattress (30cm higth).
Reg. your comments on the surrounding streets, I can assure you that our neighborhood is very safe. Near our hotel you will find many shops and restaurnats from all over the world. For a great dinner we recommend, our "Trattoria del Centro", where you will be served one of Munich´s best pizzas made by Nicola, our original Neapolitan pizzaiolo!

I sent in a review of this hotel about 5 years ago now. I enjoyed my visit there last time, and even more so this visit. The hotel has undergone extensive renovations to both the lobby area and the rooms. The hotel reception staff are wonderful and make every effort to make your stay pleasant. They are very knowledgeable about the city and are easily able to answer any questions you might have, be it in English or German. The rooms have been renovated and are now up to 2013 standards. the carpeting has been removed from the rooms, and this is a welcome change. Internet is available throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet is well worth the price, but i suggest you choose your time wosely to avoid the morning rush hour, when the breakfast room can be full. I suggest you enroll in the Sol Melia members club, "mas", to earn points for future stays and extra privileges. The hotel is located very centrally and is within walking distance of the main train station, major shopping areas and good restaurants. Prices at the hotel are reasonable, considering that you are in a large city in Europe. Best prices can be obtained on the internet through the Sol Melia website. All in all, a very good hotel for either family or business travel. « less

We (two couples) stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April 2013 & really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were reasonably priced and we were upgraded to superior rooms on arrival. The rooms themselves were modern and clean, with linen & towels provided daily, if required.
The staff at reception were pleasant and friendly and the barman was happy to tell us a little about the German beers on offer.
The hotel is in a Turkish neighbourhood with cafes and authentic kebab shops around and is 5 mins from the train/underground station. It is a 10/15 minute walk to Marienplatz. Check out the nearby Augustiner Braustuben beer hall at Landsberger Straße 19, 15 min walk. « less
