This property is more than 30 years old. It's located near the intersection of IH35 E and Bush Toll road. This is not a quiet property. Road noise intrudes and the ancient window AC unit constantly loudly recycles. The lobby areas are cosmetically tuned to appear slick. There is very little substance here. The hotel's in room guide brags about fresh coffee available in the lobby from 5AM to 10AM. Try finding any coffee, "they stopped doing that". Oops, no coffee for you and no free breakfast either! For $150.00 a night that's shameful. The beds are older and saggy, the rooms haven't been updated and their towels are kinda flimsy. There's no shower gel provided. The bottom of the shower tub is as slick as ice with no mat provided. There are many other hotel options in this area, with better value. The Courtyard by Marriott is living in the past. « less

I know people who work in the hotel business are supposed to be super nice but these people at the front desk went beyond. When we first arrived we were given a handful of coupons to restaurants all over the area. Later, we were buying some drinks before leaving for a friends wedding in town and the 2 front desk people engaged us in an excited and curious conversation. I felt like they really take an interest in their guest. The rooms are wonderful, clean, easy to get to. I slept great an was totally relaxed the entire time. Would reccommend to everyone. « less

I ended up staying at this property after a bad experience with another brand during the same trip. I called the hotel frantic in the middle of the night looking for a place to stay. Troy at the front desk was extremely helpful to us. We had to call multiple times because our GPS could not get us there. He was friendly and guided us in. During our stay he checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.
The room was a good size for a couple and it was clean. The bed was super comfy so I was rested each morning. The restaurant had odd hours and was a bit pricey, but there were several options nearby so that was not a big problem. « less

The rooms are clean. Bathroom is a nice size Not many tv channels (no foodnetwork or lifetime). The breakfast was limited. It was not an easy place to find (which you can say for most things in this area if you are not from here). The bonus was it was close to my meeting location. The staff was friendly and helpful. My favorite part was the small deck with chairs and table (thank God because the room was always freezing). There is also a nice outdoor seating area next to the pool.
The second morning I was there I was the 3rd person to order my breakfast and it took them 30 minutes to get my take-out order to me. I do realize there was a large group of people that came up after me and I guess things got out of sorts. But did not receive any sort of apology for the wait. Not really good for those of us who were trying to get in the office early. Several people walked off without food. A bit crazy! Not sure how they could have 5 people back there and not get it together! : ( The other 2 mornings went well, though. « less

I have not stayed at many Courtyard, but stay at Marriotts often. This Courtyard was a disappointment. The King bed sunk to the middle a lot! The room was clean, no problems there. The lobby was nice looking, but the breakfast was expensive. I expected a good bed and was not happy with what I got for the price I paid. « less
