I had 4 rooms reserved for May 3 2013 we get there at 1:30 and were told that check in is at 3:00. We return at 2:40 to try and get in maybe one or two of the 4 rooms and again were told check in time was at 3:00 I asked if we could maybe just get one room we were told they would not be cleaned until 3:00 at this time it is 2:50. At 3:00 we are told that it would be 3:30 at 3:30 we were told it would be 4:00 at this time I spoke with the manager he told me not to be upset at him because we only were staying one night. Well at 4:35 we got our rooms.Well on Monday I get to my office and check my bank account online I was charged twice I called to explain this to them and it takes 4 phone calls more of being treated like some cheater to get this taken care of. Thank you for your response. We always try our best to accommodate guest checkins at the time they would like. We post a check in and check out time to give guests a time when we usually would have rooms ready for check ins. We always do our best to accommodate early check ins, such as your group's, however it's not always possible. That day was an extremely busy day and your group and many other groups wanted to check in at the same time. We apologize you had to wait for your rooms and we apologize they weren't ready at the times we were hoping to accommodate you at in our statements that we made. I do know that the statement of the manager stating "no reason to be upset, you're only stating one night," is 100% untrue. Thank you for letting us know about your credit card issues. Once we found out another party in your group hadn't paid for the one room, we were able to contact that person and credit your credit card right away.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while we were waiting to close on our new home purchase at Hilton Head Sun City. We were really impressed with the price and equally pleased with a full (mini) kitchen set up. Made for a nice relaxing staying. I read the other reviews and am happy to report we had absolutely no issues with our room being ready (I made the reservation just hours prior to our arrival) and when we arrived a few hours earlier than normal check-in and asked if we could possibly check in then, they told me "No problem" with a smile to go with it! We were VERY pleased with being able to get settled in and take afternoon rest and refresh time! Other things we liked: The little convenience store to buy breakfast and lunch-dinner items, snacks, fruit, etc is so handy; the free laundry and gym for guests is nice AND don't forget that recliner in our room! Felt almost like home!! This is a nice, clean, quiet, well run hotel and with great pricing! We will certainly recommend! « less

I had made reservations over a month in advance of my daughter's graduation from USCB knowing that the weekend event would probably book most hotels quickly. We arrived a little after 2 pm and were told that our rooms were not ready but to return at 3 and they would be ready then. We did as we were asked and returned to check in at about 3:15. I was then told that the rooms were still not ready but should be in about 30 minutes. We decided to wait in the lobby. A gentleman appeared and apologized for the delay with the excuse that there were a lot of late check outs that day. I suppose he was a manger and he did offer us a complimentary beverage and snack. After 30 minutes we were told that the rooms were still not ready and they needed another 30 minutes. I told the clerk at the desk we needed to get into the rooms to change and get to the graduation and that we didn't have 30 more minutes to just wait. She was able to find that one of the rooms was ready and we could go ahead and check in to that room. She told me she would call me in the room when the other room was ready for us. When we left at 4:45 to go to the campus we still had not received a call about checking into the other room. We did over hear several of the housekeeping staff discussing their supply needs (they did not have the necessary supplies on hand to get the rooms ready for new guests). When we returned from dinner that evening I asked about the other room and was told "we were just waiting for you to get back". Saturday morning my son-in-law decided to purchase cereal and milk from the "convenience store" in the lobby, he was at first unable to do so because the computer was not working. We don't know why they were not able to simple record the items and then put them into the computer later. He was called back as he started down the hall letting him know that the computer was working and he could make the purchase. Saturday evening my daughter was in the hall when she encountered a small group of guests smoking an illegal substance. She went to the desk to report the incident and was told that it was simply too difficult (too much paperwork involved) to "kick them out" and the reported incident was not dealt with by the management. As we were packing up to leave Sunday we noticed that there were ants in the kitchen and had to throw away some of the food we had purchased. We also were locked out of one of the rooms Sunday morning as we were trying to vacate. We had to have the desk clerk open the door for us in order to remove all of our personal items. The Good: The housekeeping staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel is quiet and although the beds are small (doubles) they are comfortable. The kitchens are fully stocked and we were able to cook a meal using the stove. It is a shame that the hotel is so poorly managed. If not for the management it would have been an okay stay. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone unless there is simply no other choice. « less

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We were in Bluffton for our grandson's wedding. It is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are a little smaller than expected but it was fine for our needs. The full kitchen is a plus. We could enjoy coffee and a light breakfast each morning. The only drawback was the design of the room. The bathroom door opens up directly in front of the "dining area". Overall I would highly recommend this property. It is a 20-30 minute drive to Hilton Head, but our daughter and family live in Bluffton so it was perfect for us. « less
