If you have stayed at another Secrets resort like Mexico you might not like this as much. For such a new hotel it appears to be much older. Rooms were not as clean or as well designed / stylish. Buildings look like they have taken a beating from the weather. Quality and variety of food and entertainment is sub par from Mexico. Majority of fruits canned not fresh. Hitmitso was great.
Preferred Club at Wild Orchid food nothing to brag about. Same food for breakfast everyday: scrambled eggs, square hash browns, boxed cereal, grocery style juices, bad coffee everywhere...don't expect Blue Mountain. Have to go to Coco Cafe for that...
YET The most amazing views at WO Preferred Club, huge balcony that you would have to pay $$$$$ in Mexico, gorgeous sunsets, property is so large it's feels like a little village, all restaurants close to WO Preferred, steel drum band and local talent amazing and Jamaican people are very genuine and soulful.
I would definitely go back but you need to expect something different and enjoy all the new experiences that you wony find in Secrets Mexico « less

The rooms are amazing and the beach (even though its man made) is beautiful. Our room wasn't cleaned everyday for some reason but it really didn't bother us, others couples complained but its ok. Pool and staff are great, Marlando the bar tender is the man. Restaurants are pretty good also. Lots of relaxing and talking with other couples, since this resort is an adults only resort, you will notice the difference. I'd recommend this resort to anyone and want to go back soon. Also, we did the glass bottom boat, pretty cool to see the coral out the ocean. « less

We stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid from 5/14-5/18. The place was very clean, the food was great... But, we just did not have that "WOW" experience. We had a great time don't get me wrong... but the people just don't go out of their way to take care of you. Don't bother tipping lots of money, whether you tip $2 or $20, you get the same service. We tipped out waitress on the beach a $20, and we didn't see her for 3 hours... we had to go get drinks ourselves :( The food was great....The Coco coffee bar was great!! The Jerk Chicken cart was awesome too. Some of our favorite staff members were Lionel from the Hitmitsu and Andrew from the Lobby Bar. « less

This is a beautiful resort that is staffed by wonderful, genuine people. Some of our favorites were at the Baracuda Bar on the Preferred Club side. Thanks to Michael, Leonardo and Godfrey for the best time ever on a vacation. Our favorite of the wait staff was Ricardo, although it was tough to pick just one as the entire staff was phenominal !! Everyone who works there always greet you with a smile and are truly pleased to make your stay more enjoyable.
From the views to the amenities, Secrets Wild Orchid is top notch ! Make sure and enjoy the different cuisines there. Tell them the "Rednecks from Tennessee" sent you there and have fun !! « less

Bed was very comfy and the room was big. The beach is great, the food is good - modest if you are a foody. The staff are emblematic of Jamaica - warm, friendly, cheerful and helpful.
