We stayed in this hotel for one night as our flight arived late. After picking up the luggage at the airport I called the hotel and they came and picked me up. The driver was very nice and helpful, carrying my suitcase both on and off the shuttle bus. At check in I was greeted by a young man who gave me my key and a cookie. I even got the password for the wifi and breakfasg coupons as promised at booking. The room was large and nice. There were no safe or minibar in the room. The first thing that should be done to the rooms are changing the curtains...which looks very 80-ties. The breakfast was very nice, and the staff very attentive. Geena took care of us and we had a very nice start of the day. We would very much like to come back. « less

We were one day early arriving at the airport for our flight to South Africa and needed urgent accommodation for the night and day. We stayed at the DoubleTree in Orlando. We were so impressed with Hilton DoubleTree that we will definitely book again when we are in the States. Value for Money for sure. Spacious and clean rooms and helpful friendly staff and complimentary shuttle to and from airport, what more can one ask for. « less

They all already have DoubleTree by Hilton Sweet dreams bedding packages, flat screen televisions, Wolfgang Puck dual cup coffeemakers, and MP3 / I Pod friendly alarm clocks. We are continuing the transformation with new carpet, bathroom updates, new drapes, soft seating replacement, accent walls, and more. I must add I was perplexed to see your comment on the lobby. It is gorgeous as reflected in the photo's we just had taken a few months ago. The review says you were here in April of 2013 and this area you mentioned as outdated is spectacular. Is it possible the date is off and your visit was prior to the renovation and posting was delayed. I would ask you to contact me to further discuss this point at your convenience. This hotel really needs help and a HUGH update. We stayed for one night and will definitely not go back. The hotel staff was very nice and the room was very large but it was dark and dingy and the curtains looked like they were rolled up in a ball then hung up and the valance was collapsing but that was nothing compared to the bathroom. The wallpaper was peeling off of the walls and most of the grouting was missing from the floor leaving many loose tiles. It just didn't feel clean. The next morning we went down to catch the shuttle to the airport and were just 2 of many waiting to board. The driver would not let anyone on until the flight attendants and pilots go on the bus.. We did eventually board but the driver left 2 people behind because he had put the luggage from Pilots and attendants on 3 of the seats on the bus - it was just unbelievable. Never again. « less

You had a few comments on the guestrooms being outdated and needing work, and you are absolutely right. We are working on transforming them now. This is part of a property improvement plan we have working on for over a year now. I am delighted to report the common areas of the property are all finished and are spectacular. The guestrooms are in process and have all been brought to DoubleTree by Hilton standards with Sweet Dreams bedding packages, Wolfgang Puck coffeemakers, I Pod/MP3 friendly alarm clocks, and flat screen T.V..'s. The next step is carpet, drapes, soft seating, bathroom updates, and accent walls being added. We are excited to see the finished product as it is certain to be fabulous.
