We got a GREAT price on our room from a site where you don't know the name until after it is booked. I was nervous until we got there but then pleasantly surprised. We did not have a car but the train was only about 4 short blocks away. We walked it at all hours and always felt safe. You are surrounded by Greek restaurants (The Greek Islands is wonderful!) and Lou Mitchell's is within walking distance for a wonderful breakfast. There is a Walgreens right next door. The hotel is attractive with a modern feel. The beds were comfortable. We were on the 8th floor and I did hear a few sirens the first night before I fell asleep but slept like a baby after falling asleep. The staff was very pleasant and most helpful with recommendations, when we needed something and stowing bags between checkout and when we left for the airport. We would have preferred a complimentary breakfast but that wasn't a big deal. The things that are important to us were all there: cleanliness, safety, responsiveness to our needs, comfort, reasonably priced. We would definitely go back! « less

The Crowne Plaza was a perfect location to Downtown and Greektown! Easy cab ride or walk to the office. Valet's were very efficient getting a taxi! Check in was smooth, room was clean and quiet! I didn't hear too many noises from others on the same floor- I stayed on the 9th floor. There was plenty of hot water in the bathroom and a nice rain showerhead! The restaurant in the lobby was good for food and the servers were very attentive even after we kept adding people to our group! We were located on the same street as Greektown making it easy to walk to a bakery, Starbucks and restaurants. « less

Spend two nights at this property. Located a short walk from Monroe St. And near the cated and within walking distance from the buzzling business district, the accomodations were confortable. St. Chicago-Kent colllege of law. The room was a little on the small size, considering that I requested a king size sweet with balcony. I was assigned a room with a view of the supermarket and the parking lot and it was on the fifth floor. Not my idea of a city view. The bed was confortable and the pillows were great. But like another traveler mention, they made the bed with the opening at the toward the head of the bed-annoying and irritaing to say the least. The barth room sink and vanity were decent size, lighting very good except one of the fixtures was tilted Abd the base was rusted. The bath/shower did not drain well did appreciate taking a shower in standing water. The "relaxing spa quality" toiletries mentioned were merely spa like. No shower cap. That is an essential item for women travelers. A big miss. I will travel to Chicao more often and unless I have early morning meetings this property will be my back up. « less

This is a great hotel. Got an exceptional value as well! You are really close to Union Station, Sears Towers, and just a quick 2 miles from all the shops on Michigan Ave. The rooms are really clean and very nicely appointed. Staff was top notch! If you need a snack, Mariano's and Dominicks are right across the street, as well as many good restaurants in the Greektown community. This is a great option for Chicago, whether traveling on business or pleasure. « less

Me and my beautiful girlfriend were very impressed with our entire stay in Chicago thanks to the staff at the Crowne Plaza Metro, particularly Michael Sweeny and Aspin Odom. Both were extremely accommodating and helpful. We were visiting from Texas and they both were wonderful at recommending sites, attractions, and did a great job of selecting restaurants based on what we were wanting to try. They honestly made this the best vacation we have taken yet. We would love to stay at this hotel again simply because if these two guys, the beautifully remodeled hotel was just a bonus.
