I'm sometimes disappointed with Brisbane CBD accommodation but with G20 coming to the City in 2014, accommodation chains are lifting their game...finally. I wasn't expecting too much here but man was I swept off my feet by The Watermark. Even my husband of few words managed to heap praise on my great decision to stay here.
First off I have never seen a hotel room so clean. Take note management, your cleaners deserve a bonus...not a speck of dust, stain, hair, shower grime ANYWHERE! I seriously cant say enough great things about the cleanliness of the room. We had a standard room but it was anything but standard. Although not facing the Parklands, this didn't bother us. The rooms are very very spacious, larger than most standard rooms and the best thing of all they were so bright and airy!! It was so wonderful to have a large sliding door/window with the sun beaming in and nice light colours of the room whist also having a balcony to relax on. In my opinion customers enjoy light sunny rooms over cold dark uninviting spaces so this is a great feature. The only point I disliked was the shower head. It was a very weak flow of water making a 'relaxing' warm shower out of the question. Whilst I understand the importance of conserving water, this took it to the extreme.
Breakfast and parking was included in our weekend rate along with a late check out. Lots to choose from at breakfast and the area was really modern to dine in. Would have loved to have a drink in the bar as it looked inviting but unfortunately we didn't get the chance. I'm so glad I have now found somewhere in Brisbane as my 'go to' Hotel. I really didn't want to go home so cant want to come back! « less

We decided to stay at Spring Hill just out of Brisbane. This was a Flybuys deal and we definitely made the right decision. We were checked in by Sammantha who was so lovely and helpful with directions about where to go. It was only 10 mins walk to the city, a great location. The room was great, overlooked the city of Brisbane. Room was spacious, exceptionally clean and the shower was great. Bed so comfortable, would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and familhy. Thankyou. « less

2) This hotel has complicated internet system that operates from a TV. I think the conventional way to get wifi is the best. The reception tried to help but still could not connect.
3) This hotel has a check out time at 10am? OMG. I think the hotel needs to review this policy.
4) Simple breakfast. Service is average.
5) Location is quiet and may not be an advantage if you are a tourist. However there is a free public bus that brings you to the town for shopping. « less

Recently stayed for weekend 4th-5th May. Loved view from room over Roma St. Parklands and the parklands are beautiful. On both nights we ate in the restaurant the service from staff was exceptional. Staff also serving breakfast on the Sunday morning were great. I would not hesitate to stay at the Watermark Hotel based on the courtesy of the staff. « less
