This hotel was fine - beautiful lobby and great location. However, for the price, I was disappointed by the overall quality of the hotel. Our closet doors were stuck on one side of their tracks, the toilet paper holder was broken, and the staff was extremely loud. Starting early in the morning and lasting throughout the day we could hear them from our room loudly talking and yelling to one another in the hallway as they performed their jobs. I would expect more from such a pricey place. « less

My husband and I booked this hotel through an amazing deal on Hotwire, so I was a little nervous that we'd be stuck in the supply closet when we checked in. Much to our delight, this hotel was perfect in every way. It's a short walking distance to everything in Philadelphia (except for the Wells Fargo Center, but even this is a short subway ride). Reading Market was about a ten minute walk and Eastern State Penitentiary (our highlight) was only an easy 20-minute walk. Check-in was a breeze with helpful staff and the lobby was clean and sophisticated. Our room was spacious and had the amenities to make our stay more enjoyable, including free bottled water every day. When we didn't receive any one day, the staff quickly brought some up to our room and then phoned us a bit later to ask if our needs were met. We didn't have a Sleep Number bed but it was still a comfortable king size. Shopping and restaurants are all within several blocks. Our fave fast food place, Shake Shack, was about five blocks away and Rite-Aid was three blocks away for anything else we needed. Overall, I would DEFINITELY stay in this hotel again! « less
