The Candlewood Suites is the newest hotel in Terre Haute, Indiana. We have six floors with 97 guest rooms. We have beautiful rooms with one queen, or studo two full beds. We office smoking and non-smoking rooms. Travel with ease knowing your pets are welcome.
The building use to be the home of the Tribune Star. Renovated elevators and copper stair-way add a lot of character to the hotel. Our rooms have all the great things you would find at your own house.
We are located in Downtown Terre Haute close to downtown shopping eating places.

I had a one night stay here so I could attend my sister's college graduation. It is a one block walk to Indiana State University's Hulman Center. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms all have kitchens in them with full sized refrigerators to boot! The rooms are larger than most hotel rooms and the beds were very comfortable. Since it is located in the heart of downtown Terre Haute there are decent selections of pubs, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel if you have children because of the kitchens within the rooms (fed kids = happy parents) and the convenience of the Terre Haute Children's Museum right next door. « less

This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at hand down top 3. The front desk staff where very nice. The parking lot was clean and well lit. The hotel itself was well kept and super clean. My room was SPOTLESS!! Out of all the hotels I have stayed in this one is in the top 2 of clean rooms. The room itself was very large, the wifi worked great, and the room has a full kitchenette. As another reviewer said eating options at night in the downtown area are very limited so if your coming in at night you might want to grab something before arrival. The hotel has a pantry that was stocked with snacks that you can purchase. The owner and manager should be proud of this place. I wish all hotels and motels where this well kept. « less

We spent the weekend here while visiting our son at Rose Hulman. The rooms were HUGE and very clean. This historic building had 10-12 foot ceilings in the rooms. Very cool! The front desk staff was excellent, especially Emily. They made us feel welcome and treated the hotel as though it was their own. The only negative we had during our stay was that our room faced Wabash Ave. There was a party at a nearby bar and we could hear people coming and going through most of the night. Next time we will request a room near the rear of the building to avoid this. Overall, would definitely recommend this hotel. « less
