The room was small with tired décor but VERY clean and usable. I had a good nights sleep as the beds were very good and linen were very crisp and clean. The rooms do have cardboard walls though and you can here the people above and to the side going about their business. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was a nice buffet with good selection. There was ample parking, and the wireless internet was free, which is great. « less

I have been working in Kent and from time to time I stay over to spare myself another ghastly early morning (night really) start. So I chose the Donnington Manor as it was very well priced and seemed to have all the amenities. I was glad I had chosen this hotel. it had a comfortable room with free WiFi. The bed enabled a good night's sleep and the breakfast was excellent.
The staff were all charming and helpful although they were all Eastern European and trend I see more and more and why not because they give great and polite service. The hotel is in real countryside and I was lovely to see horses and sheep in the fields.
All in all a good stay and I will definitely go there again. « less

Dear Guest
Thank you for the positive comments and we do try to make up the deficiencies we do have in terms of the decor. The toiletries are all organic and every hotel provided with complimentary water which is certainly not a thing one gets anywhere in a 3 star hotel.
Thanky once again and hopefully see you soon. Ronnie

On balance, this hotel has a lot going for it - characterful building, convenient location minutes from m25 yet still manages to feel rural, nicely decorated reception and bar/restaurant. As I only had a whistlestop stay, I didn't have a chance to visit the leisure facilities.
At the risk of stating the obvious, the room/bathroom was desperately in need of a refurb, yet was still clean, comfortable and I slept well. The complimentary bottles of water and biscuits is always a welcome touch (and so rarely seen in most hotels nowadays).
To the banks - if you are reading this - come on guys, do the right thing!! « less

Dear guest
Thank you so much for your comments and especially the part that relate to the banks. I have actually taken the liberty of writing to the manager saying that it was time that even guests say we are due a refurb as we have so much going for us.
This is one of the reason why we give complimetary water to all bedrooms and the standards of the soap, shampoo etc is so far superior compared to even 5 star hotels.
Look forward to your next vist and goodbye from all of us Ronnie

Stayed with my wife for a wedding and the first thing we thought when we arrived in our room was pure shock at the decor. But as they know themselves the place needs to be refurbed.
The staff were all polite but on the first morning we arrived for breakfast, queued, and we're harassed by two members of staff, a man with a beard who very clearly has absolutely no customer service skills and a lady with brown hair who wasn't much better but was polite atleast.
Luckily upon checkout our breakfast was eventually refunded which was nice of the reception staff.
Imre and Antonio stood out in terms of extreme patience and customer service skills when they had to put up with the rugby guys left drinking until 4am. They were a good laugh and very helpful earlier in the day.
All in all our room was a little cold but other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. « less

Dear guest
Thank you for your feed back and we rarely get bad comments about the staff. I am glad that you still managed to praise 2 out of the 4 in the resturant as well as all the reception staff too.
The rooms themselves are very clean and tidy but the decor is somewhat outdated and that is why we at times get some bad reviews. All being well we should be able to start but all depends wheter there is any funding from the banks and we are at their mercy!!!!

There may not be many other hotels in this area but I suggest you take the trouble to find one. The lovely old Tudor building which they show in their photographs does exist but you are unlikely to set foot in it, we didn't. The rooms are actually in a rather nasty 1970s block which has been crudely attached alongside, lord knows how they got planning consent. Our room was small and dingy, including the bathroom. Despite asking for a quiet room I slept badly, noise from other rooms and the corridor was a problem. Everything was rather shabby and worn including our carpet which would not have looked out of place in a squat. There is a spa which was was not very warm in a rather drab pool area, we stayed about 5 minutes. I see in reply to other reviews that the management accept refurbishment is long overdue, a fact they neglected to mention when charging us £109 for Bed & Breakfast. The staff are nice enough and the breakfast was adequate but overall I am sure we could have had a better stay elsewhere for far less. Last night, for example, we stayed in an immaculate Premier Inn at Crawley which cost £54.50 B&B. A very poor effort from Best Western, have they no standards? « less

Dear Guest
Let me apologise on behalf of all of us for the shortcomings that you experienced. i am sorry that you did not make use of the old tudor building because that is where the resaurant is situated. That building ios over 300 years old and no way would we be allowed to put up hotel rooms which i am sure you understand.
I am somewhat surprised at your comment regarding shabbiness because even thought the hotel is slightly outdated in terms of decor it is certainly very clean and for which we get praised a lot.
A premier Inn is certainly a souless place and it depends whether it is to every one's liking.
Regards Ronnie

"It was so nice to just put up what I wanted and you contacted the hotel for me. I had spent hours trying to find hotels for my wedding and this was so much easier. Thanks!" B.M. - Anaheim Hills, CA
"My middle school band and I have been extremely pleased with the service we received from your company. I had many choices for hotels very quickly and the hotels I considered were all excellent. Even after I selected our hotel, your agents stayed in contact with me periodically and even arranged a free upgrade of my room to a suite! What a nice surprise! I plan to book my next trip through them and would highly recommend them to my friends for their group travel plans. Thanks for a great experience." C.C. - Grove Hill, AL
