Wife and I stayed here for the race weekend. Hotel is about 20 miles from the speedway but for the price versus similar hotels closer to the track this was a great choice of hotel. King suite was very spacious and modern. Nice big flat screen TV, comfy bed and a nice size sectional in the living area. Room also had a fridge and work desk. While the bathroom was a little small the shower was nice and then entire room was very clean. While the hotel is near a busy airport we were never disturbed by any plane noise. Staff was helpful and friendly. Free breakfast was good, but the breakfast area is small and the staff seemed overwhelmed with the amount of people. But it was a good free breakfast so no real complaint from us. The hotel basically shares a parking lot with a nice sports bar so if you want to go watch the game and have a few drinks, its easy walking distance. All said a great hotel and value. « less

Stayed here two nights April 11th and 12th.Biggest issue i had with this hotel was the typical overcrowding at the breakfast area which is small and common these days in most Hyatt's, also located adjacent to the front desk. Also the cleaning service starts at 9am, so if you are planning on sleeping in I would advise the front desk that you wish not be be disturbed until a certain time. We missed the cleaning service one morning when they were next door and we put the do not disturb on the door the night before and they slipped a card under the door around 9am indicating we had missed the cleaning service and to call the front desk if we wished to have our room cleaned, but when we returned that evening after 6 pm the room was cleaned. The front desk staff was very courteous, and the location seemed like a nicer area of Charlotte near industrial park. The renovated bathroom had a new tiled shower with large glass door, awesome, biggest shower I have ever seen in a hotel. The rooms were clean and set up nice, we had a king bed with sleeper sofa, Hyatt has the largest rooms for the money. We would return to this hotel. « less

I've stayed in several hotels near the Charlotte airport when I travel for business. One of my favorites has gotten a bunch of less than stellar reviews, so I needed to find a new hotel. I’m glad I found this Hyatt. I was making the choice for myself and colleague. He prefers a different hotel chain. He was impressed and has a new favorite hotel when he is in the area.
Check in was fast and pleasant. Brooke was exceptional – very knowledge, efficient, and helpful. The room was spacious, well appointed, and very clean. I like the counter with the small sink in the ‘living area’. Wi-Fi was good the entire stay. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding.
The hotel is located in an industrial park – with more emphasis on park than industry. It is surrounded by lots of trees and green space. The weather was so nice that I took a walk around the property and found a small lake with a fountain. Very picturesque.
There is a great sports bar with in a short walk from the hotel, and the hotel offers a small bar – as well as coffee. There is also a menu that you can order 24/7 (just no room service), so you don't have to leave if you don't want to.
A great value for the price. My new hotel of choice while in the Charlotte area. « less

I've stayed at both Hyatts on Tyvola Rd., and while I prefer the sister property just down the road a bit better, this hotel had the same Hyatt standards I've come to love (and expect) when traveling. My room had just a hint of smoke smell but thank goodness the room wasn't drenched in Febreeze, the standard coverup for all evil smells. Nothing worse than Febreeze! Otherwise, the room was very clean.
The front desk staff was super courteous and attentive, and the breakfast bar was stocked with fresh food.
I really enjoyed my stay and am coming to love Hyatt Hotels better than the rest of the chains due to the fantastic quality at a reasonable price.
