I was traveling and came across this Econo Lodge. This was the most quiet place i have ever slept at! I was in room 112 with my family and the carpet looked brand new and the mattresses felt new too. Our room was real clean that we even left a great tip for the hard working maids! The front desk service was that of a 5 star hotel. This place real does care about their guests stay. Looked like they had done plenty of remodeling! Staying here again. « less

We booked a 2 star hotel along our route with Hotwire, & the Econolodge was what we got. Neither of us had ever stayed at an Econolodge before but it was midnight and we tried to go in open minded. They advertised a free hot breakfast but when we checked in we were told they'd had a "mishap in the kitchen" and they would have coffee & donuts in the lobby the next morning. The woman working the front desk was polite. We needed a pack n play for our baby & there was a $10 charge, which was fine. We got our keys & headed to our room (room #228, non smoking on the back side of the building, upstairs.) It was VERY dated and tired looking overall. The wallpaper was ripped & peeling. There were rust stains in the tub & sink and everything looked old and worn. We could not get the outlet that the a/c unit was plugged into working, so our room was freezing all night long. However, the a/c unit magically popped on right as we were about to leave, so I don't know if it might have been the wiring? The outlet had no faceplate, which did not seem safe. The hot water took over 5 minutes to get lukewarm & after using a washcloth I discovered a hair tangled up in the fibers. Gross. There was a dead bug in the corner of the room & the beds were rock hard. When we went to check out (again, polite front desk worker) there was coffee along with one half eaten donut & one whole donut. I grabbed it for my husband but he didn't eat it because it was hard as a rock and looked like someone had stuck their finger in the icing on top. We would never stay here again, despite the polite staff. Not a good representation Econolodge. « less

We stayed there on 11/20/12 after driving for hours we needed to stop and found this place. The lobby looks Ok but then you get to the room. Large dead bug in the corner, hole in the wall paper which also is dirty looking. Bathroom was dirty with broken toilet seat. The bed was rock hard and I slept with my cloths on because I didn't want to touch that bed. The blanket had burn holes the carpet was worn down and ugly. If all the rooms look like this one the place should be torn downSame on Econo Lodge for even having their name on this one. Oh and the price was $51.30 way too much to stay in a flea bag. « less

Management response from Tina Red, Front Office Manager
I would like to apologize for your inconvenient stay at our hotel. We take Guest Satisfaction seriously at our hotel, and we want every Guest to have a pleasant and comfortable stay. At the moment, we are in the process of becoming a Full-Service Econolodge, and we are training new employees and remodeling rooms. Some of our rooms are on the remodeling list, and not available to Guests. I sent you a message to see what room you stayed in to fix the problem, but I have not received a reply. However, after research, I have realized that one of our new staff members made a mistake and rented a blocked room. For some reason, the system let the new sales agent rent the room. I wish you would have let the sales agent know about it, and you would have received a different room for the night. We have taken the following actions for the remodeling process: 1. Ordered 48 New Head Boards, 2. Ordered 30 New Desks, 3. Ordered 30 New Chairs, 4. Ordered 48 New Mattresses, 5. Ordered 42 New Night Stands, 6.Ordered New Carpet for 40 Rooms. I would like to apologize for your inconvenient stay at our hotel, and thank you for staying with us. I hope you give us another chance. GM

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"I wish I knew about you guys sooner, I've enjoyed being able to come home and go to the computer and see lots of hotels asking me to stay with them. (almost like that commercial, when the banks fight over getting your business) Will recommend to others and can't wait to use the service again myself." P.C. - Philadelphia, PA
"Yes it did. I was especially pleased with the price. Because of your outstanding service and immediate attention to my request, I've already referred your services to anyone that needs it. I, too, will continue to use your service in the future." R.W. - Independence, MO
