Phuket, located approximately 90 minutes by plane from Bangkok, is Thailand’s largest island, often dubbed the pearl of the Andaman or the pearl of the south.
Karon Beach is 45 minutes away from Phuket International Airport and only 10 minutes away from Patong, the center of Phuket’s nightlife. Two 18-hole golf courses are within 30 minutes’ drive. Chalong pier, the departure point for
island hopping, is 10 minutes’ drive and Promthep cape is 20 minutes away. Karon is in the center of it all only 30 minutes’ drive or less from major destinations.
Karon features one of the longest stretches of beach in Phuket and is famous for its squeaky white sand. Despite its size and full range of activities and facilities, Karon beach is much less hectic than the other beaches on the southern half of Phuket. It has a promenade which runs by the many shops, seafood restaurants, and bars.
Moevenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket features the largest meeting and conference facilities in Phuket. The main ballroom can accommodate up to 800 people in a theater or cocktail setup. In total, the ballroom and seven breakout
rooms can handle groups up to 1,340 people at one time. All the meeting facilities are located on the same floor allowing convenient access. A large pre-function area, built around a garden with waterfall and reflecting pool, offers an excellent location for coffee breaks or other informal gatherings, and a complete range of state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment is available, including technicians to make sure verything goes smoothly.
