This hotel has great features - the indoor pool is truly warm, compared to many other pools I've been in, the staff was friendly, the place was clean, they even have a little 4-hole putting green. The kitchen was very well-stocked with dishes and other necessities, the suite was modern and clean, with nice decor. Here was the catch for us: the heating/cooling unit in the bedroom is practically at the foot of the second bed. That meant that I alternated between freezing and being hot all night long. On the second night, my spouse got the rotisserie treatment, since I asked him to switch sides with me. Also, the beds seem comfortable at first, but they seemed to contribute to our troubles by the middle of the night. We are in our 40s, with two pre-teen children, who slept fine. So maybe it's just us. We don't usually stay at Marriott properties, for a variety of reasons. I really regret we got such crappy sleep for two nights - otherwise the place was great. It is a bit hard to find - it's not visible from Shallowford Road, and Center St. is not a major intersection. We stay in hotels probably 5 times a year, so we are not rookies. Can't say I've had this problem at another hotel in the past several years. If you don't have to sleep in that second bed, it would probably be fine. « less

This hotel has definitely set the standard for where ever we go. Anything less would be uncivilized!! I really wanted the two bed room but none were available. The two bedroom, if you are looking at the pictures, is the one with the full stove and oven, not the one BR or the studio. That was okay though. I think eventually all Residence Inns will be rennovated. We are going back to a residence inn in Atlanta that is now rennovated that wasn't last Feburary. Residence Inn is really doing it big and is making it hard for other extended stay hotels in the same "class" to compete. « less

We were only in town for one night and selected this hotel due to TA reviews. The location of the hotel is terrible. You exit off Shallowford Road adjacent to I75 and take a side street to access the hotel. The street looks like you are in a war zone. Abandoned buildings, concrete barriers and overgrown trees fill the street. At the end it opens up and the hotel is on a corner parcel. The staff was very friendly upon checkin. The room size is excellent and would be perfect if you were in town for a few days. The kitchenette is very large with a full size refrigerator and plenty of cabinets. There is a living area and bedroom separated by a swiveling TV on a drawer cabinet. The bath and sink are plenty for the room size. The thru-wall AC unit is very loud. The furniture is not very comfortable but is ok. The hotel offers free breakfast but the crowd the morning we were there was pretty bad. One small child was walking around the eating area in only a diaper. « less
