The Courtyard by Marriott Houston medical Center opened its doors in February 2010. This hotel is a beautiful addition to the Reliant Park / Medical Center Area. The hotel has five (5) available room types which are as follows: standard king, double queen, extended king, extended double queen and a king suite. The king suite is the only room to include both a mini refrigerator and microwave. All other rooms have just a mini refrigerator. The hotel is located 1 mile outside of the Houston Medical Center and only 1/8 of a mile from Reliant Park/Stadium/Convention Center. Reliant Park is Home of the Houston Texans Football and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The hotel only minutes from the Houston Museum District and Zoo. The famous Galleria Shopping Mall is approximately 4 miles from the hotel
The hotel has 3 beautiful state-of-the-art meeting rooms. The Longhorn and Lonestar Rooms are located across the hall from one another. The Longhorn Room is 795 sq. ft. and the Lonestar Room is 720 sq. ft. Both rooms have a drop down projection screen.

The on duty manager personally went and made a cup of coffee for me and another guest. This service, which I find rare, was nice. « less

I stayed there over a weekend in April as I was visiting family in the Texas Medical Center. King room was very spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Lobby looked great and very up to date. I know Courtyards typically dont have free breakfast, but I have been to other Courtyards that have at least have free coffee downstairs, this one did not. I was a little disappointed in that. I made some in the room, but we all know that is not the same. Also, they don't provide to go cups in the room.
The only other drawback was the price. I was there on the weekend and got a great rate of $89 for AAA. But I noticed during the week, it's almost 179-210 a night. That being said, if you can get it for 110 or less it's great deal. I would never pay 179 a night for it. Not sure why it's that high during the week.
Overall it was a good hotel and Marriott experiance. « less

I was here for a business meeting that required a large shipment on a pallet to be shipped in and out. This can be tricky at some facilities but the staff at this hotel made everything a breeze. Most notably the Mirela and Ciara were great help along this process. With their help, I was able to zip in and out and make it home a full day early.

I normally stay at the Marriott Huston Medical Center, but wanted to try something different...a hotel with larger rooms. I am a fan of Marriott's Courtyard Hotels. Large, spacious rooms, a great size bathroom with storage...something you don't often find in hotel bathrooms.
Super front desk staff! I am amazed that they were able to greet me by name whenever I walked through the lobby.
My only complaint was the condition of the room. The sofa fabric was worn, a few stains on the carpet made the room appear that it was not well kept. « less

We stayed at this hotel for a few days. The room was very comfy. The hotel as a whole was very nice. Beautiful lobby with a small market to buy snacks and drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff. The 2 people I encountered at the main desk were great. I believe it was a Ms. Rita & (not too sure, but I believe Sierra, sorry to her if that's not correct). The restaurant & bar area was perfect. Most of their staff was wonderful, primarily the morning crew, especially the young gentlemen at breakfast. He was very detailed when it came to helping me get the exact food choice I needed for my doctor's specific diet. Wasn't a huge fan of the shuttle and how that was set up, but since that was the only problem point I could come up with, they are doing quite a fine job there in Houston. Will definitely return my next trip into Houston! « less
