I wasn't super happy with our room bc it didn't have a fridge or microwave. Also, the pool was covered and closed during our stay, which was also frustrating. BUT, when my friends and I needed ANYTHING the gentleman working the door were totally there for us! Sinatra, George and Sammy made our stay so pleasant, I really felt like I was among family. Those guys are gracious, respectable and have infectious smiles! They are true gems of the Doubletree Company and should be treated as such. If I come back to stay, I hope they are there. If not, I'll stay somewhere else. « less

Recently stayed at this location in April 2013... one month before the hotel was slated to be renovated... firstly, I was so not impressed with the decor of the hotel.. the elevator was too small to hold too many passengers... and it had a smell... the rooms just looked old.. the toilet started to overflow.. I wasn't given the option...of moving to another room.. maintenance with a plunger in hand to unclog the toilet... really??? The staff was friendly enough... but I was just not impressed.. so over my stay at this hotel..never again.. especially having to pay an ungodly amount for valet... yeah right?!!! « less

Better eat at the Waffle house 2 blocks away! Also valet parking is a rip off $30 overnight. There's a public parking behind hotel that charges like $5 a night! « less

I will definitely say I will never stay at this hotel again. First, I made a reservation for 1 night, and ended up getting accidentally booked for two nights. When I called to cancel my second night, I was told that I might be forced to pay the additional night even if I stayed there since it was within 24 hours of check in. Luckily, the hotel was able to cancel my second night.
Secondly, it's a great location, but parking at the Hampton Inn across the street is half the price. I'd rather pay $15 than $30 for overnight parking any day of the week.
Lastly, and the icing on the cake, were the rude guests knocking on doors at 4 am. I called security, and the knocking stopped. But when it started again and I called security, I looked out the door to see if security actually came. I looked out the peephole for a solid 5 minutes and security never came. The room temperature was difficult to control and it was too hot to sleep. Overall, not the least bit impressed. « less
