I had the pleasure of staying at this very good Hotel during a business / pleasure trip . The location is in a secluded spot near a Motorway but should not be considered to be a Motel since it is surrounded by Woodland and very well kept grounds. It is very close to The City of Brugge but within easy access of the coast and Brussels . The rooms are spacious and excellently furnished. They are very welcoming and helpful and have a snug, traditional well stocked bar. They are a Family run establishment with a big sporting background so if you are willing to sit up till the wee small hours talking football and cycling, they are too! The food is the best in the area and very well presented. I noted they are a 4 star establishment. Not a bit of it, trust me they a through and through 5 Star. If you are considering a visit to the area or need a stop off in Belgium or transit. Look no further. « less

I can't say enough good things about this property. The rooms were large and very clean. The grounds were beautiful, with the flowering trees and the staff was unbelievable and patient with all my questions. I must single out Kathleen as being the best person behind the desk. She even made a long distance phone call to my next stop to clear up a misunderstanding and it was not even to another Best Western. Thanks Kathleen. If there is any downside, it is the fact that the property is several miles out of town. They offer a shuttle for 5 Euro each way, but when they choose not use run that shuttle, they arrange for taxi service at the same price. Unfortunately, the taxi drivers know nothing about this arrangement, or pretend not to, so there were several heated arguments with the drivers. Guests should not have to fight with the taxi drivers that the motel has sent to pick them up and for which the guest is paying the motel directly. Would I go back; in a heart beat. It is a great place to stay. « less

Thank you very much for these kind words. I certainly will pass on your comments to Kathleen, who in the meanwhile has become the favorite of our guests. Concerning the taxi I appologize for the inconvenience that you have met, but I hope you understand that we don't control the staff of the taxi company. The comments were sent to their management.
Thanks a lot and hope to see you soon again.

This is a great hotel on the outskirts of town, far enough out to be quiet, close enough to be convenient. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here, everybody goes out of their way to make your stay special. The shuttle service is a great idea, book in advance. The rooms are large and clean, and the bar and breakfast are excellent. Don't let the location put you off, it turns out to be a plus. « less

Decided on short notice to take a side trip to Brugge. Checked on the Best Western site for hotels in the area and found this one. It deserves all the accolades that people give it. Clean and bright. Front desk staff were very pleasant. Room was large and airy. Stayed on the upper floor. Some might not like the sloping walls but as someone who grew up with them as a child, it felt like home. Bed was not as comfortable as I expected it would be. Maybe I'm getting old but it was lumpy and hard. Ate both supper and breakfast at the hotel. Service was great as was my supper. Breakfast was self serve. There was pleanty to choose from so left in a happy frame of mind. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Bruges. « less

Thank you very much for the nice comment. It is very hard to select bedding that is comfortable to every body. We are constantly monitoring the market to find a solution that pleases every body. Thanks again and hope to see you again pretty soon.
