From the word go the Corinthia hotel St Georges made us feel special, it is much more than just a 5 star. The breakfasts were out of this world, All members of staff at the hotel were helpful, nothing was to much trouble. The other restaurants nearby were inexpensive. But our fav place was Grill 3301 the meals were freshly cooked & if u wanted fish you could choose your piece. The view from the balconie was stunning. the beds were comfy. All services were close by & there was a courtesy bus to main towns which needed to be booked before 6pm the day before. i could go on about this wonderful hotel my advise to you is try it.

Stayed at the corinthia with my husband and two kids. The suite we stayed in was excellent - very spacious and clean. It had two balconies, one overlooking the sea which was fantastic, and the other overlooking the pool area which was nice as well. However, when opting for a 5 star hotel ( thus supposedly implying 5 star service as well) , having a beautiful suite does not compensate for other serious shortcomings and is not enough to make the stay a satisfying one. For instance, we were advised that children are only allowed to use the indoor pool till 11 in the morning. This happens to coincide with the time breakfast is served, which leaves you with the dilemma of whether you should have breakfast or take the kids for a swim! Seriously??? In a 5 star?!! And, I wonder, what are the kids supposed to do all day? I would imagine a 5 star hotel to offer a kids club or some kind of area of entertainment. And I would also expect a spa with these kind of rules to at least be in immaculate condition and offer a relaxing experience. I have been in a fair number of 5 star hotels ( with spa) , both in malta and abroad, and this is by far the worst indoor pool area I have seen. Is it possible that no one has noticed the rust at the base of the 'bridge' running across the room? Apart from being a terrible eyesore, this does not seem very hygienic. The decor in general also leaves much to be desired, with bare and somewhat dingy walls. The chairs provided 'for relaxation' are rigid and uncomfortable, thus making it impossible to actually relax! Also, it doesn't seem like the brightest idea to have two doors opposite each other open at the same time, thus creating a draught and rendering the pool area unpleasantly cold. I honestly cannot understand how such a poor level is tolerated within a hotel of this standard.
Breakfast was good and varied but did not run as smoothly as it could have considering the large number of staff at hand. Some members of staff do not seem to know what their job is and spend most of the time seemingly having a heart to heart, which is rude and annoying, especially considering that basic things like the absence of milk or other things goes unnoticed as a result of this ( the blonde, foreign looking but Maltese speaking young girl acting as a host...possibly too young to hold any real qualifications?)
The reception staff on the other hand, polite and courteous and willing to help although without success (referring to the aforementioned ordeal with the restricted hours for children being able to use the indoor pool.)
All in all, a mixed experience. Would return in the future but not as long as the management decides to do something about accommodating children. In other words.. Prospective visitors should think twice if visiting in winter/spring or else come in summer (but at a much higher cost) « less

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the opening hours at the Spa for children to use the indoor pool. We have in fact revisited the timings and the Spa is now open to children from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. I have also asked the Spa Manager to look into your other observations and concerns regarding the Spa.
On a positive note, I am very glad to hear that you were happy with your suite, with the cleanliness, the services of the Reception Staff and the food at breakfast. I have advised the Food & Beverage Manager of your comments and he will take the necessary corrective action so as to avoid such incidents in the future.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our Hotel in the future.

On the far end of the developed area of St. Julians is situated this expansive, yet intimate feeling resort. Much like what you would find in say, Los Cabos with the angled room wings allowing for balcony views of the ocean, The Corinthia Hotel St. Georges Bay is one of the few Malta resorts situated on its own sandy beach. Multiple pools and lounging areas populate the Beach Club area. Great views of St. Julians and the sun rise over the Mediterranean make coffee on your private balcony worth rising early. Incredibly comfortable beds and clean upmarket rooms make for a relaxing stay. The fourth and fifth floors on the northeast end of the hotel are the quietest overlooking a pool built beside an ancient stone watchtower. Though the bathroom decor was rather dated it was incredibly clean and spacious. The public spaces and lobby are quite functional but tend to be quite loud with the large congested check-in area and could use a furnishings update. Food at the Grill down by the water was superb. Service throughout the resort was incredible with friendly attentive staff. The breakfast included many more offerings than the standard European breakfast fare and was consistently delicious.Close enough to walk to other services and a large area of shopping, but a taxi or rental car is needed to enjoy the real sights of the country. After touring much of the island nation and seeing numerous other accommodations, the Corinthia Hotel St. Georges Bay would be my choice for return visits. « less

A quiet haven away from the traffic within a short walk of St George's bay and its restaurants and water sports. Spotlessly clean, helpful staff and plenty of facilities to hand in terms of in-house restaurants and spa and a selection of pools. Little more than half an hour from the centre of Valetta, the airport, Mdina or Birgu by taxi and a bus stop outside if you are happy to take longer. The only moan was that when we were there, the service in the lounge was patchy, with simple orders taking half an hour to be delivered and similar happened pool side, so the back-up communications when things are rushed was clearly not working properly as all other services were welled manned and prompt. But that was a small price to pay for a top class hotel at a reasonable price for its standard. « less

This is really great hotel with a good price. I stayed for only two nights but I would go there again when returning back to Malta. Breakfast was really good and the service was excellent. Very nice interior and the only remark I have was a broken chain lock on the door (after the maid tried to enter the room) « less
