This is a lovely hotel, incredibly clean and well maintained. Linens were fresh and room spotless.
Too bad that the hotel rents room blocks to teams who literally take over the entire site. Very noisy with teenaged cheerleaders running up and down the hall. Breakfast could be nice, but we struggled to get close to the buffet. Could only get cold items as the teams were monopolizing the hot food stations and all of the tables. The desk clerks provided those of us not with that group with a tiny conference room down the hall to eat in. Sadly, the topic of conversation in that conference room was disbelief that the hotel was not enforcing basic social standards of behavior for this group.
Contacted Hilton customer service and received no response. Won't be back. « less

As hotel operators, we do make every effort to ensure that all guests have a positive experience; unfortunately there are some human elements to the experience that we are outside of our mandate to control. We addressed the group when opportunities presented themselves and as you noted, we were happy to offer up our small conference meeting space for exclusive use of our guests who were not a part of the team. Our family stayed for three nights and loved this hotel! I don't think that I've stayed at a cleaner property!
The staff was excellent, smiling and very polite.
The pool was clean and the water was warm. Most of the time, my kids were the only ones in the pool area. There were even a few beach balls to play with.
We thoroughly enjoyed the free breakfast that included milk, juices, tea, different coffees with flavoured creamers, and muffins, toast, yogurt, fruit, make-your-own waffles and cereal. Everyday the three hot items were different and some examples of the items included omelets, chunky potatoes, back bacon, French toast and bacon.
The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was fairly quiet. The only noises we heard were some plumbing noises and the sounds of the heavy hotel room doors closing.
I can't imagine us staying anywhere else on our next trip to Edmonton. « less

My family stayed here in mid-April and were quite impressed with our overall stay. Our hotel room was kept very clean, and housekeeping was quite understanding that our son took midday naps so they always came later in the afternoon. We stayed on the fifth floor, and except for a couple of excited preteens making noise in the hallways on our first night, it was nice and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was solid, though you may want to avoid the eggs (a little too rubbery for my liking!). My 23 month old son also LOVED the splash area by the pool. He would get quite upset when it was time to leave!
Location is great too with the WEM being mere blocks away. Also, try the restaurant next door - they make an awesome greek pizza. « less
