Go through Book It or Priceline to get a $79/night deal. Very clean and comfortable hotel. My kids liked it too. The FREE breakfast is really good, so don't miss it! Unfortunately the pool does not open until Memorial Day weekend. Couldn't believe that since the hotel pools in Kentucky are open - why not here? Wish I would have known that ahead of time - the kids were bored. This is not a great part of town so not a vacation spot by any means.
Great stay for a quick overnight - driving through Memphis kind of stay. « less

Came up on the weekend of the Diamond State Rodeo. Check in went well but their were two girls working around 5pm on that Friday who we're eating and drinking while the other was busy on her cell phone.. :( The Room was ok and price not that bad. Our chair in our suite was a little broke (816). Shuttle driver's were all amazing. The Guy who was working Friday night, You couldn't have asked for a better driver. Saturday night on the 24th there was a guy working who was very rude when we called the hotel at like 11:30 to ask for a shuttle pick up for 12am (* When the shuttle was suppose to start back up) told us we needed to call back at midnight and then he could help us????? What a crock, why can't he write it down like a normal good customer service oriented employee should. Train or care much!!!?? There was a lady that worked Saturday and I hate I don't remember any names but she was so sweet and very helpful and was playful with guest while doing her job. Breakfast was actually decent although they ran out of bananas Saturday and Sunday, granted the hotel was rather busy. « less

Reservation experience: We needed a pet friendly place to stay for one night. I prefer to make reservations directly with the hotel since I've had experience where the main reservation number is not knowledgeable about how pet friendly a hotel is (service animals only for instance). I called the hotel but got routed to a general reservation number. It was very annoying listening to advertisements and then finally a person got on the line. The agent had a thick accent and it was difficult for me to understand him. He wanted too much information from me (do I have an account, do I want an account, do I etc.etc.) before letting me know if the hotel I wanted had a pet friendly room available. Then he needed my email and my credit card and...all with such a thick accent I was struggling to understand. I asked if he could just put a hold on the room, we would be arriving there in an hour. No he could not. I ended the call, frustrated that it was so difficult to communicate with him. Other brand hotels allow me to speak with the actual hotel and make the reservation with the hotel clerk.
Hotel experience: The lobby was busy upon arrival but the one woman working the front desk was friendly and efficiently handled the check in line. There was a $50+ added fee for pets. Parking is in a parking structure above and below ground. Hotel access is via the main lobby or the underground parking elevator. The room was standard nice with comfortable beds. No mini fridge or microwave? Full bathroom. We were on the 3rd floor. To walk the dogs we tried using the stairs but found the set up odd and resorted to the elevator and main lobby exit. The only grassy area is along a sidewalk on the side and back of the hotel in a not safe area. We had a scary experience with a couple of the locals, this is not a good place to be outside. Fortunately there are plenty of businesses that deliver food to the hotel room and the lobby bar has bottled alcohol to take to the room too.
The hotel seemed very nice, a nice place to stay if not traveling with pets. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"My middle school band and I have been extremely pleased with the service we received from your company. I had many choices for hotels very quickly and the hotels I considered were all excellent. Even after I selected our hotel, your agents stayed in contact with me periodically and even arranged a free upgrade of my room to a suite! What a nice surprise! I plan to book my next trip through them and would highly recommend them to my friends for their group travel plans. Thanks for a great experience." C.C. - Grove Hill, AL
"I can only say THANKS....It was better than I expected. The hotel staff were superior, fun and very accommodating. Everyone only had good things to say about the rooms, the noise level, the service and the staff. Thanks so much for your help." M.C. - Vancouver, BC
